My Mini S is showing that tomorrow it will be out of production. What can anyone tell me about the timeline for the following items.

How long from production will it be Awaiting Transport, then now long En Route, and how long does it sit At Distribution Center?

I'm in Nevada and really WANT MY MINI NOW!:)

My timeframe was as follows:


Ordered from Dealer: June 4, 2005
Scheduled for Production: June 29
Production begins: First Week of July
Production Ends: July 9th (I believe)
On ship over to the US: July 12th
Arrived at Distribution Center in SC: July 26
Left Distribution Center: July 29
Picked up by me at dealer: August 08


From Start to Finish: 65 days

The dates are rough estimates from what I remember. Hope this helps somewhat.

Oh, by the way...as for how long it will be in "awaiting transport" mode, you can go to the shipping carriers site and type in your VIN number and see if you have been assigned to a ship yet, and when it is scheduled to depart and arrive. I am sorry I cannot give you the information on how to do this all of this, because I do not remember how to :( . I will go back real quick and see if I can figure it out for you.

It will probably take at least 5 weeks from end of production to delivery at a dealership in the West.

Here's my timeline for a West Coast delivery in 2002:
04/26 - On Order (received production number)
05/03 - Status 111 and 112
05/17 - Status 150 (Week 23 [ending 06/07] build)
05/27 - Status 152 (being painted)
05/28 - Status 160 (released for distribution - a week early)
05/29 - Status 182 (waiting for train)
05/30 - Status 193 (in Southampton, loaded on Tricolor)
06/25 - Status 196 (in Oxnard, discharged from Tricolor)
06/26 - At VPC
06/27 - Released to carrier
06/29 - Arrived at dealer (East Bay MINI)


My MINI experienced NO delays from the time it was released for distribution until it reached the dealer, and still took 33 days :eek:
