Think we will probably be lumped in with the Feburary production. Ordered on December 28th.

Another point, when we were ordering the sales person told us that they were doing some work to the factory in January, so Feurary would be the earliest available. Something about the way they paint the roofs on the cars. Anyone in the know confirm this?

Do you need to get your production number from the
plant? I got mine from my mini dealership. I'm from the US,
not sure how it works for you, but I hope you can find your
number soon, it must be driving you crazy. I can track my
mini at the mini website, but what I really want is a live video
feed of my car.

I had a week 1 production time. But since there is not a January production support post, I will use this one! My tracking says that my car is at the port and awaiting shipping. Its been there for some time! The mini rep said that once it is released for shipping the Dealer would have the most accurate information as to where it sits in the process and recomended that I contact them rather than use the Website or 866 ASK- MINI

Dont know if this is a result in a change in tracking process or software.

I don't know how accurate that mini website even is.
My mini status is STILL 'on order' where its been for weeks now.
I hate to keep bugging the dealership, but I WANT MY CAR!!! :D

your minis come?

My car is officially on production!!! :D I can't wait! Soon I'll be able to trade in my crappy T-bird, most of the paint has all peeled off of it, its pretty embarrassing. Doesnt seem like there are too many people here with a Feb production slot, what's going on with you guys??

No word on our One yet. When we orderd the salesman said he would give us a call in feburary with an update, so waiting with baited breath!

To be honest I'm a bit miffed to read on the January production thread that people who ordered after me allready have their cars in production. I'm just hopeing that ours has allready started. I'm sure I will find out soon enough.

Until now we will make do with our wee Red Citroen Saxo 1.0L! :D

Our MCSc is a week 7 build, which I think means sometime from 13/2/06. Delivery is not until early March.

In the meantime we are running about in our old Vauxhall Vectra. :aargh:

However to help pass the time (other than comparing Insurance companies) we have arranged a factory tour on Valentines day as we only live a mile from the factory. When we did our last one in December the line stopped for the staff to get a 20 minute break and we had a good look at the build sheets of a few. So hopefully we'll be able to have a guess at where ours is in the production cycle from the build numbers of the ones on the line!

It's a shame you can't track the progress for UK customers online!

How fun! I wish I lived closer to the factory so that I can visit. :(

Have to do the tour on your vacation sometime! :)

We were in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago - seemed like the highest concentration of Mini's I'd seen outside Oxford around the Bay Area, and lots of advertising!

yeah, the demand is really high over here, which is why its an 11 month wait to get one. They're great for SF because we've got very minimal space to park. Thats the practical reason to get one anyway :D

The production went WAY faster than I thought- a week

Fantastic! I hope you are going to follow it on it's voyage across the pond too. Last update from our dealer (sounds like Minis are a drug) was that we would get our hands on it by March 3rd. How long will yours take to ship [literally]?

Good things come to those who wait!

Called my dealer today to change one item of the spec. The car is going into production the week after next, so I'm assuming that's production begining 20/2/06.

I was able to make the change to the spec, but only just. The cut off time for changes is very soon.

Fingers crossed we should have the car early March! Woo Hoo!

I phoned mine Friday to see if I could add a MFSW, too late - it's gone into production! Very exciting!

Ooooh, my production date is Feb 18! The only bad thing about ordering it was I had to go to a dealer ~400 miles away, 'cause the local guy gave an eight to ten month wait estimate. Oh wait. That means I "have" to drive 400 miles the day I get it! That would be a good thing.

Just found out today...scheduled for production with a completion date of February 26!

Several days went by with no schedfuled date, and I was worried I might fall into March production, but it looks like I'm just barely slipping in to join you all in the February group.

I placed my order for my MCS on February 4th, 2006. Then I got my VIN on the 10th. Not long after, I received a message from my MA informing me that my production date was the 16th and that my car was completed and awaiting loading onto a carrier for shipping. That was fast. I'm wondering why mine went so quickly while others are having to wait quite a while. No complaints from me though.
