hi everybody
i have 19 inch wheels on my one d,they seem to really slow it down and having to drive harder is making my service intervals much shorter, just wondering if i get an ecu upgrade to 100bhp will this help my service gaps. does anyone know if this will void my warranty? been told its undetecetable by the dealers true or false?

all remaps and ECU upgrades are readable, the only ones that will tell you that they aren't are the people selling them to you or those that have fell for the sales pitch;)

Err yeah not suprised. :D
void the warranty.... Defiantly! Undetectable...yes and no. Yes if the dealer looks for it, no if they dont drive it much and dont compare the fuel maps. But anyone that knows their mini's will know straight away that the car is putting out 30% more torque. Actually maybe not with those wheels :D
Get yourself an AMD Oneclick or Superchips Bluefin for easy changes back to standard for trips to the dealers.

Go for MTH 95bhp and 230ft/lb of torque. You can easily return the original file.

Is the MTH a re-map that can be reversed? e.g, is it like the One Click?

Yes its reversible. Its not as easy to reverse as the OneClick since you need a laptop to plug into the car to do the work.

Thanks. I doubt I would ever want it reversed, but if an engine fault occurred and it needed to go back to the dealer...........

I find when I use my 18"s the car is a little slower, but more importantly fuel consumption is down by about 50 miles per tank compared to normal steel wheels and trims.
19" s must have more of an effect, the car needs to work harder to achieve the same speed etc.
More power would help, but you would still lose out on economy, and it will still bring service intervals in early.
