Good morning. Anyone had problems with the leather being baggy, and poorly fitting? Nearly rejected car when we picked it up because they were so bad. any other peoples experiences on how it was resolved would be helpful. Regards to all.

When went to my dealer to sort out the spec on my new cooper, decided to look round the second hand cars sat on the forecourt. I was so surprised how many of them had baggy leather on the seats (some only a year old!). After that decided to stick with the half leather option and get an upholsterer to refit the seats in leather sometine in the future.

New cars should be fine...but old ones you can certainly see which seat has been used most. I think some leather polish does help sometimes.

every MINI leather seat bags with time, well except the JCW seats;)

had this happen on both the MINI's we have had with full leather seats:(

Thanks for feedback. Car is 6 weeks old! Dealer has had one go at sorting them out, but an upholsterer friend says they are just poorly made/stitched. Will let you know how we get on.-Chapscrap

The baggy leather is the exact reason I went with cloth in my first MINI and leatherette in the 2nd and 3rd. I like the look of the leather but I hate how baggy it looks even on a brand new car.

My 02 MCS has Gravity full leather and they are still tight as a drum... :p
