COOPER couldnt get more than $2000 for it. If it said something that was associated with a very expensive car, you would expect someone to pay heaps for it, but when it is associated with a car that is worth between $500 and $70,000 if you are really keen, I doubt it will reach the owners reserve.

The release of the NUM83RPL85 will only reduce the value of it further... I know of someone who is trying to sell M1N1.

No offence to the ones that's got plates related to their cars....but I think people that spotted a MINI knows it's a MINI and doesn't need a plate to confirm their sightings. Similar to bogans with plates like VYSS and the like.....

I personally think the only plate with any real value these days are ones numbered <200 000 and below and even that is touch and go.

I personally cant stand numberplates on cars like IML337 and that sort of thing... like, GOSH! :p

With numerical plates, I am trying to find an address in the ACT..I think they're the last place in Australia that can get numerical only without paying a fortune for them.

Looks like they've gone up, 5 digit is the cheapest at $642 ranging to $4717. At least these are once only payments. It costs extra if you want a slimline front, or coloured plastic plates.

I got it on my mini because some one may confuse it now with the New Swift:eek: :eek: :eek: :(

IMHO A number plate is worth only what some one is willing to pay for it..
I also have COOPER (look below) Which I bought about 10years ago because MINI was gone. (i ended up buying Mini 2nd hand for less than market price)

there also 8mini8 around here which looks ai'ights.

Custom plates with 7 chars are $240 a year in SA. But then again if you really really want them....

I'm still happy with BMWMINI, even though they wouldn't give me the space in the middle (counts as an extra char! :( )
