Snap! That's the design I got for mine, too. It was waiting (with a stumpy antenna also) ready to go on the car before it arrived. Much nicer to use than the original (which will go back on if/when I eventually part with the car). Doug was great to deal with and deserves all his success for super service. Cheers from England.

Sorry for the comment i am going to do but i dont like it at all. Its like seeing my brothers Honda civic jap style knob. Sorry but everyone has its taste :) its like sitting in a japanese, modified honda. :)

I beleive the stock one is much more nicer for a MINI interior. But this is just my opinion ok? dont take it wrong if you like it then everything its perfect.

Your not wrong... though I have heard that people use very small socks to overcome this... :D

Personally if you have any chrome inside your car it looks way nicer than stock and it really does improve shifting.

But as you say KMK163 each to their own. ;)

I saw someone selling them once, can't remember where now... perhaps I'll try one of the babies socks see if that makes a difference :p :D

My wife slips a glove over it on those really cold mornings. I personally love ours. Customized to suit herr personality. A very well done piece of art. And I think the brushed texture fits right in with the other alloy (like) accents. MINIs are about personalizing. To each their own. I do think the added weight aids the shifting.

KMK163 please don't apologise for having no taste, it's not your fault:D (only Joking)

As you said everyone has there own opinion and look at the end of the day i can always swap back to the original down the track!

As mentioned it does make shifting a heap better as for the cold I don't think that's an issue here as it doesn't ever get below 5-6 degrees.

personally i love the look of a chromed gear-shift, but in the winter it gets way too cold. how wonderful would it be if all the parts of a mini could be heated? a job for mikeythemini i hear you cry! ;)

why don't you buy a heated glove and just stick it over it at night???

or walk into a baby clothing shop and buy 1 babys sock!!!!

i personally breathe into my hands and give it a vigorous rub in the mornings!!!

Errr....This is getting unnerving! Rubbing knobs an all!

Looks quality though....does it improve the shift much in terms of travel?

Yea i think it improves the shift a heap

It was 34 Degrees here today and yea it got rather warm but it was more than easy to deal with. for a small price i reckon it's one of the best things you can do.

It is a tad smaller than the OEM knob.
