That's assuming it's the right house ;)

When I did the google map thing I put myself about a mile away from where I am.

I have taken this a step further by bluring out my plates in real life, so if a red MCS drives by you on the street and the plates are blurry, thats me.

As I said:-

Sadly I've found this on 2 occassions - you don't need access to the DVLA etc., although of course you should do. Certain easily accessible websites appear to employ ludicrously lax security measures.

Which ones allow this? I haven't found any insurance co website that makes this publicly available, especially to 'confirm' details - that sounds like a scam.

I think it was on confused.com a couple of years ago, a particular site I got from there. I can't remember which it was though :(

If someone decides to nick my car, perhaps i'll be able to get a new jcw with lsd, the wife won't let me buy one(something to do with needing food and a roof over our heads or sumat).

I paid too much money for my plate to have the darn thing blanked out!!!!!

I think the risks are over rated. if I wanted to clone a Mini, I'd llook outside the nearest estate agent.

Actually, thinking about it - my car and plate are so widly known on this community, i'd want peoplke to tell me if they saw my car (or a clone) driviing around in odd areas.

http://www.mini2.com/galleries/data/500/medium/3.jpg Nice wheels where u get em???

I don't blank out my plates, but my MINI is fairly noticeable anyway.

Also, the plates have been stolen on 2 occassions, so the police are on the lookout for them anyway (have got 1 back)

I don't bother - hadly any two minis are the same so cloning is increadibly difficult!

My mate's TT was cloned and got a parking ticket, when he got the photos through it didn't have a quattro badge and had different interior so he could prove it wasn't his! :D

I'd like to see sombody exactly clone my mini! (sounds like a Tim Westwood tv show )

im gonna change my name Wilhem Viceroy KUJ, it'll be cheaper than finding a number plate with my initals, but i'll probaly wait until i'm 53 , then it'll be even more worth it
