OK, this is now a definate event. Please follow instructions to book. Its not too late if anyone else out there wants to come - the more the merrier...... lets make this the best track day event ever done!!!

Bedford Autodrome, Bedfordshire, (Full GT curcuit), Open Pit Lane, Saturday 27th May, £199.00
.
Bedford is centrally located in the UK, and is an excellent curcuit for noivices as well as those that have experience already (bugger all to hit basically)

If I can get 10 or mor to commit, they have promised either a discount or free professional tuition for all drivers - ..... well worth it.....

OK, looks like Bedford Autodrome to me - Brands would be great but anyone wanting to do BH should contact MVS directly

Will be posting contact details for deposits/full payment tomorrow....

Booking Information

OK, Discount set at 10%, so cost will be £179. Sorry cant do cheaper. However, if we can get a few more people to book, we will get FREE professional tuition all day, via having one of their instructors assigned to our group. So I would guess we could all have 20-25 minutes one on one tuition - this usually costs at least £25 extra. This is based on 20 people booking through this procedure! and therefore isnt guaranteed at this point.

Now, need to book your slots. Pretty sure they will accept a deposit initially.

Booking Instructions: YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE otherwise no discount or tuiton. Telephone 01474 872 331. and ask for Alex. Quote "Mini2" track day booking. DO NOT book on line as you wont get a discount and your booking will not count towards free tuition offer!!!! You must speak to Alex!!!!!!

More details here:

I also need everyones full name so that I can send a list to Alex - so please PM me your name for the list......

How much roughly Tony ? Is it per car, per driver, per lap ?
If my car is sold then I'd have a problem , but if its not then hey it'll need new tyres then anyway !

Tony - gone for Bedford - a) closer, b) am definitely track day novice (this would be first!), c) April 18th is my birthday & no fit state to drive.

If votes go toward BH, but enough interest in Bedord, could we sort that separately, particularly for us novices / stock cars??

Brands Hatch would be good if I can get the day off. Bedford is a definite!

£199.00, its per car/driver. It will be extra cost for another driver

Huge run offs - safeest track in the UK as its only for track days - no barriers like you get where they run competitive events.

Hi Tony, I think I'd be up for Bedford. As a warm up why not try the one at Keevil (east of Westbury IIRC) so is very local ,its on Mon 10th April and is £99. We (me & GTT Steve) are going in our MCS. There is another MCS signed up for it to. The event is run by Motorsports-events.com Tel 0870-7872116

Thanks for that Roland, but its more of a cash thing at the Mo :( - spent a fair bit on the car in 2006 and already done 2 track days this year. What with the new sprog as well i've got to keep the boss sweet for a while. :D need to persuade her to sell her cooper and buy a more practical family :aargh: car so i can keep mine too :D:D:D

Plus i cant do week days - problem with being a teacher

I'll be down as a definate for the Bedford day :)

Usually £25 for extra driver....

prep - take all the crap out of your car... check the tyre pressures, check oil level.

Pack spare underpants, and be prepared to come on here raving about track days being better than sex and when can you go again....

mini doesnt need much doing for a first timer. :D

Tonyt3
Mar 24th, 2006, 03:25 PM
will start organising from monday, when i'm sure about how many people from my work want to go too....

Will probably just do Bedofrd judgeing by responses, but I think Brands would be more fun for the experienced track drivers....

will see if they will accept a deposit to secure places....

I'm not doing bruntingthorpe again due to the damage you do to the car (stone chips, abrasive surface damages the tryes)

Me too. I've done my last trip to Brunty! Its not particularly testing and plays havoc on your car.
