I thought I will kick off the May production group thread since no-one else has yet.

I have just got off the phone to the dealers and the production date has been set for my new mini in the first week of May with mid May( probably the 20th) for delivery.

Specs are as follows:

Mini Cooper S with Chilli Pack
Dark Silver / Black Roof and Caps
Alloy Patina Dash
17" Bullets

Extras are:-
Black Gravity Leather
Chrome Line Interior
Harmon Kardon Hifi
Anthractie Headliner

I am pretty happy with the spec and dont think there is anything else i want/need, but feel free to make some suggestions.

To say I cant wait till the 20th is an understatement, this will be my first mini

CRAIGNEVILE, what about a multi finction steering wheel, that also will give you cruise control. and how about an arm rest?;)

Didnt really fancy the arm rest to be honest. I did think about the MFSW but the only reason i would use it would be for the cruise control, i work in london and so my commute is by train and i will hardly ever find myself on motorways or anywhere that would warrant it. This MCS is just going to be for fun ;)

What features does it come with other than radio controls and cruise control, is it just similar to a normal bmw MFSW do you know?

I forgot to place MFSW on my order but will do shortly, it's only £160 extra and well worth the price for those extra holiday miles....

I finally called the MINI hotline, and my MCS '06 is in production and the est. production completion date is April 21st. How long does it usually take to get to Minnesota USA from the plant?

Here is my order,

MCS '06
Dark Silver/Silver roof
Silver U bonnet stripe
Premium Package
Cold Package
Front Fog Lights
Center Arm Rest
... and all the other basic stuff...

I plan on putting a Sub and a CarPC in my MCS once I receive it and probably tinting the windows

I just cant wait till it gets here.

since it's getting to get nice in Minnesota, I have started to see more and more MINIs on the road,
what agony! i want my MCS!

If your car is to be complete in April, then you should be looking in the April Production Group. We've got lots of info there.

My PH/W MCS was complete on April 2. It boarded it's ship, Liberty, on April 7th and is currently just off the coast of Long Island. It should dock this afternoon. My dealer is Classic MINI in Mentor OH and I expect my baby to be there by the 25th or 26th of April.

Have fun tracking!

Ordered on April 15th from Craig at Mini Crowfoot, Calgary, AB:

BRG MCSa

-DSC
-white hood stripes/ roof / mirror caps
-black leatherette
-alloy patina interior trim

Pretty basic, I mean, honestly the car comes with everything I need / like / want right out of the box!

From all that I've read / heard, it should be here June 16th at the earliest, ranging to single digit July

My MINI's order status changed today, from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production", and I just called 866-ASK-MINI, and it appears that my MINI is in production, with an estimated completion date of May 5th!!! I guess that puts my in the May production group?

Timeline: Ordered from MINI of Peabody on April 3rd. I was told to expect production around May 19th, with delivery in early to mid June. So, obviously this news is a lot earlier than I expected!!!

Specs:

2006 MCSa
Space Blue/Silver (no stripes)
Premium package
Cold weather package
Space Gray/Black cloth seats
DSC, 16" wheels (default)
Front and rear fog lights
Chrono package
Anthracite interior (but not the headliner; hoping the default grey headliner will match with the grey in the seat upholstery)
Chrome line interior
Chrome front grill
Ipod adaptor
Invisishield

This will be, at age 34 (having been driving parent's, friend's, girlfriend's and rental cars since age 16), my first car. I'm way beyond psyched!

Me too, me too! Just found out (today) that my MCSa is scheduled to be completed 6 May 2006--maybe they'll be on the boat together, MarcusCT. My MINI will also be calling the DC Metro area home...so anyone that can answer the pickup time estimate would have my undying gratitude...:D

My dealer has provided me with my Build no PC 9798954 and a chassis no of TK 88576

The car is a MCS Chili pack with JCW and chrome interior pack. I'm informed by the dealer that it is down for a May build. Where do i go to follow my new car through factory to delivery in Australia? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Guys!
We're production group mates it seems---I finally saw my owners' lounge status change to 'scheduled for production' tonight. I was told by my MA last week that it was going to be produced first week of May. I ordered it April 14th and I've been waiting the last two weeks and wondering when the next run would be.

I live in St. Louis so with boat time and hauling, I'm expecting it late May delivery, maybe early June (doh).

PW/B Cooper S, black stripes
Black leatherette, anthracite dash
Chrome exterior/mirrors
Sport package, 17" S-lites, all season tires
LSD
Cold weather package
Harmon Kardon, mfsw, sunroof, Rear fog light
(ultrashield clear bra scheduled for after delivery)

WOOHOO!

This is my first car all for me, and coincidentally our first really nice car. The last few cars have all been wife's pick/practical. This one's alllll mine.

Mike,
St. Louis

Update from 866-ask-mini:

"Your Vehicle is in the paint shop"

Woot!!!

According to the web site, each MINI spends an average 10 hours getting sprayed (and baked in the kiln, I imagine...) with various coats of paint.

Go folks in the paint shop!!! Just a little shout out and thanks to the good people at the MINI plant in Oxford :) I hope you're having as happy a day as I'm having hearing this news!

The phone menu system they have at 866-ASK-MINI is GREAT!

I ordered my mini in April and was told i should have it by last week in May :D

Spec:

Mini One Convertible
PW with black hood
Pepper pack
Arm rest
sports seats
octagon cloth
heated seats
body coloured mirrors
white back and side indicators
heated washer jets and wipers
chrome line interior

Think thats about it! Have been showing masses of self restraint (didn't know i had the strength) and have not contacted my dealer at all to see how things are going........it's killing me!!!

Was told that lock down for changing my spec was the wed after ordering it (ordered it sat morning) and i think it went into production shortly after that.

Planning to leave it until monday morn then il do a swift e-mail looking for update with the excuse being confirming payment method.

All this sunny weather and im missing out, ive never found anything so exciting and frustrating!!!

First mini........can you tell? :p
