Geez, I was reading the Longest Time at Port thread and was getting depressed. My Mini is being built now, and should be done by Friday, April 7. Its coming to New England via SouthHampton to NY ( really NJ ). The boat trip itself is 9 days. From the other thread it seems like the wait for the boat could be as long as 12-16 days:frown: That's ~23 days to get to NY. And I'm assuming they aren't going to just truck 1 car out from NY, so they would have to wait for at least a truck load of Mini's to be destined for NE. Thank God the dealerships here sell a bunch, and its Spring so it should be busy!

So my question is for this SouthHampton to NY trek, what was the shortest time it took to get to your dealer from the end of production? Anyone do it in less than 25 days???

My car was *ordered* 2/2 and at the dealership 3/3.
It was put on a boat the same day as it finished production - sometimes you can get lucky :)

This isn't recent but it's the timetable for our 2nd MINI, Bagheera in 2004. It will be interesting to see how #3 compares.

Received at terminal and booked on Turandot 6/21
Turandot docks at NJ 7/7
Through VDC awaiting transport 7/12
Arrives at dealer (Classic in Mentor, OH) 7/16
Picked up MINI and started the drive home to CA 7/17

If I followed this exact timeline for my MINI, the soonest I could be driving her would be the weekend of April 29th. Not likely I'm guessing. But I'm still hoping.

My mini was ordered on 03/05/06 and I will pick her up on 04/07/06. not too bad as far as I consider
