One or two people on our table were lucky enough to have Roulade with garlic sauce as their dessert   :p

Was anyone else as lucky? :p

There were certain members on our table seemed to have been served glue instead of custard

Do you know everyone on my table all said it was Heinz tomato soup too!

good call jon :D

i had the salmon & it was very nice, although they had run out by the time they got to us. the ceasar salad was ok too but the roulade was inedible - like one of those fat balls you leave out for wild birds.

next time lets have something really simple that we all like - fish & chips :p

Soup was, well, soup. OK. Chicken was OK, wondered why everyone's chicken was all cut in half?! Brulee wasn't very good at all.

Abi had a garlic roulade, but luckily we heard other people's disgusted out-crys so she dipped a finger and tried it before tucking in. She got another, and that wasn't much better, maybe the garlic was added to hide the rest of it?!

:(

Didn't spoil the night, but was very poor by Shrigley "Don't think we'll go there again" Hall.

Yes wonderful location but shame the food wasn't up to scratch (breakfast excepted ;)). Having said that, the dessert was ok even if a little sticky :p

3 on our table were the first to have the Roulade, the waiter told us it was the ceaser sauce from the starters that they had put on by misktake.

breakfast was pretty good as it goes & so were the sarnies - even if you could get exactly the same ones in the golf club bar for less than half the price of the main hotel bar - £10 for a club sarnie in the courtyard, £4 in the 'hidden' golf club bar

We asked for so many pots of tea and toast on Saturday morning at breakfast and guess what, none of them appeared!

I must have had the ultimate combination for the evening!!

I had the pate thingy to start with, then the chicken then the sponge!

No complaints really, it was all tasty. Not brilliant, but tasty.

Did anyone else notice how cold the pate thing was?? obviously just out the fridge - fine, but the toast was just as cold and soggy - guess that was just out the fridge too!
