Hello to everyone,
i´m new on forum this is my third posting so excuse me anything(i´m fresh).I´ve one tiny girl with 4 months old.I´m considering a Mini but my wife is in doubt about the space about it.I´ve made a research here and i have seen that the love for the car overcomes all obstacules! The first is the space but i´ve read that are solutions like quinny zapp buggy´s to go in the trunk is it the best solution?Other doubt is the chairs for kids ?Whats the best solutions for the rear´s Mini´s.The parents that see this forum could guive any help here?
My last doubt is anyone here have been for a holydays with a child on a Mini? how to manage the luggages versus space ?
Hope to hear opinions.
Greetings to all Mini´s Lovers.
p.s. sorry my english

For luggage, I can help you out ... you can fold down one rear seat. We're going on a two-week trip with three adults. Two in the front, one in the back. Cooler and luggage go in the boot, and sit on one folded-down rear seat. That will work even with a car seat.

Hey there,
I have a 04 MCS and my wife and I have a 4year old son - we can fit everything in the MINI with no problems! We did just get my son a new car seat by Combi - it looks like a mini racing seat. If you get a MINI and you really need more room - there is always a roof rack. MINI and other companies make roof racks that do not interfere with the moonroof ( if you have one ). They look nice and hold a ton of stuff:D
Good luck

Ricardo,
Is there anywhere (Airport locations especially) that you could rent/hire a MINI for a few days to see how you get on?

I don't know if you have them there but my Evenflo Triumph Seat is a perfect fit in the back. Turned out to be very safe though I am sorry we had to TEST it. I will re-think my stroller strapped behind my driver's seat against the back of the headrest rails. In our rear-ended accident my seat broke and the headrest banged me in the head. I guess I want to squeeze a stroller in the boot somehow. I looked at the Quinny Zap, but hate that it doesn't have a recline feature. That's pretty important especially with my 2 y/o. She needs her afternoon nap. I think a roof rack may ultimately be the only way to go, but I don't yet want to drill holes in my roof. Maybe I'll get over that. That and a good luggage bag or box and no problem travelling with everything even one of the bigger strollers. I hate to think what it'll do to the mpg though. In the old Mini days, it seems like every family had the roof rack rig if they wanted to actually go anywhere in them. Good Luck, a very safe car indeed despite it being small, believe me we tested it good, or BAD as the case may be. Not our fault at all.

Yup, I hired a MINI One from a Leatherhead Company whilst my 04 E320CDI Estate Panzerwagon was in the body shop...........and ended up putting my name down for a Works GP (In the shop awaiting '56' plates)!!!
Be very carefull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mail me privately as I haven't read the rules properly and am not sure if I can give you specific details here!  :hmph:
