try the forums outside the Aus one MiniFr34k May 5th, 2006, 06:13 AM lol yep since QSR everyone wants to retrim their interior snake skin. Babes May 5th, 2006, 06:25 AM I dont think it does come apart, a fellow clubMINI member had his handle snap and had to replace the entire thing, from what he said they dont come apart. n00b May 5th, 2006, 06:55 AM Josh, did your car ended up going to Auto Salon?
Off topic, whinges about QSR: someone really should educate them what's taste...pink BMW/Subaru/RX-7 isn't exactly subtle or tasteful. MiniFr34k May 5th, 2006, 07:04 AM when it comes to colour, its all subjective
i actualy like hot pink wrx and rx7's (some of them) n00b May 5th, 2006, 07:07 AM Being fair about it, their ///M3 is the only proper pink one... GDCoop May 5th, 2006, 10:17 AM Glove box lid is a sealed unit and the only thing that comes as a 'saparate item' is the lock tumbler according to BMW.
My lock catch snapped off and whole unit was just removed and chucked away.
I guess that's why MINI is up the ladder on price.... expensive warranty work when they DO go wrong.... doona May 5th, 2006, 11:17 AM [QUOTE=n00b]Josh, did your car ended up going to Auto Salon?

Pink's very popular in JDM circles....everyone's a wannabe drifter these days... IML337 May 5th, 2006, 11:24 PM what event was QSR? n00b May 5th, 2006, 11:43 PM First it was Queen St Smash Repairs...then they called themselves Queen Street Racing....all sorts of weird cars sprayed in pink.

True, one of Yashio Factory's S15 is in pink, could think of another 2-3 D1 cars are drapped in pink as well. JDM is overrated anyway, just like someone want their MCS to be entirely fitted with JCW parts only. COOPER S KID May 6th, 2006, 06:09 AM thanks for all the replys guys !!! **** **** **** im spewin its one piece !! oh well ill have to think of somthin else to do with it !!
Mini Freak :hopefully the leather and snake skin covers everything that can be coverd i just gave my car to the trimmer and said make me smile when i come back !!
MiniFr34k lol yep since QSR everyone wants to retrim their interior snake skin. - this is true as dude !! they have sparked a new trend although this is only massive in sydney especially the show car scene ! at the summernats this year the car that won best outright interior which is the biggest and best award to get for you trim was an orange XF falcon with beige leather and caramel and brown snake skin it was pure magic !! im hoping to just be the first in victoria , Like my mini the i was first in australia im pretty sure with 19 x 8 inch wheels !! and my bodykit to !!

Off topic, whinges about QSR: someone really should educate them what's taste...pink BMW/Subaru/RX-7 isn't exactly subtle or tasteful. - unfortunantly no it didnt me and my trimmer got stuffed around with the sub boxs we are going to use and didnt get them in time so i had to cancel and AUDIOBAHN were not happy especially having to fill my cars spot on the trade stand at the show !!
i personally love the QSR boys ! that M3 is actually a reall M3 it has a crazy rotary turbo motor and runs like 7 sec quarter mile and they compete in show and shine events with cos it has a mad trim and engine bay and they win **** most of the time !! now the time craftsmanship money and plain old man hours on the car would be phenominal also including the RX7 that things has 20's all round and a $12,000 candy apple pink paint job with a rotary turbo 10 second street driven daily package and a beatiful bone colour leather re-trim !! i personally think the QSR guys are awesome!!
thanks alot everyone for all the replys and help i guess ill just have to figure out some other way to modify it !!!
hahaha now im thinking YDRX-7
SEE YA GUYS !!! THANKS AGAIN MiniFr34k May 9th, 2006, 08:51 AM To be honest.. for every person here saying QSR is crap, theres going to be 5 others saying they're mad, awesome, fully sick, hectic what ever phrase you can come up with.
The point? well its all subjective, take it with a grain of salt. It all depends on taste, objective, culture and age (biggest factor i think).
Regardless of my opinion, i take a step back and appreciate the level of detail these people commit themselves to when building their project cars, and also am amazed at the amount of $$ they pour into their cars. n00b May 9th, 2006, 09:02 AM Have anyone painted a MINI pink? I am due for a paint job soon ;) while talking about Australia's first, well I think I might be the first to go twincharge :D
Pete don't be so cut because I didn't like those pink cars, back in the day when BAR B7 was for sale, it got me thinking to buy it until senses got the better of me...plus it didn't help when a whole heap of rumours floating around saying that car got rooted badly by the EPA and it's on the VOI list. steve cooper s May 9th, 2006, 10:27 AM here's a link to a pink mini :aargh:

lol nah im not cut up ;)
Those rumours are true.
A drag spec HKS Turbo ( ie the turbo wasnt designed for street use) was dumped into that car. If memory is correct, that was the only one in australia.
You wouldnt believe how quick the cops, rta and epa got onto us when they found out. It was like watching a SWAT team attack a team of terrorists or something lol! :bad: :bad: :bad: | |
