| : How long to get your MINI thru the distro center? jac7100 Jun 28th, 2006, 12:10 AM greetings fellow motorers! i'm an eager new mini owner :D and my mini is due to dock in the states (east coast, NY) this week. i've read some horror stories of cars spending weeks in the distro center :( ....so whats the recent experience...how long did it take your mini to clear the distro center and catch a truck to your dealership?? :confused: MINIAC Jun 28th, 2006, 12:26 AM Here's my timeline for a West Coast delivery in 2002: 04/26 - On Order (received production number) 05/03 - Status 111 and 112 05/17 - Status 150 (Week 23 [ending 06/07] build) 05/27 - Status 152 (being painted) 05/28 - Status 160 (released for distribution - a week early) 05/29 - Status 182 (waiting for train) 05/30 - Status 193 (in Southampton, loaded on Tricolor) 06/25 - Status 196 (in Oxnard, discharged from Tricolor) 06/26 - At VPC 06/27 - Released to carrier 06/29 - Arrived at dealer (East Bay MINI) badchess Sep 5th, 2006, 03:10 PM Sometime over the weekend (Sept. 2-4, 2006) my mini changed to en route to the distribution center. Any idea on the typical timeline it would take from that point to get to Arizona (via California)? I'm flying into AZ to pick it up, and don't want to spend too much time in a rental car waiting. krazy88 Sep 18th, 2006, 10:49 PM According to the Owner's Lounge, my MCSa has been sitting at the VDC for a week and a half. According to the dealer it should be on a truck this week heading to Long Beach MINI, so it'll have been a couple weeks at the VDC. I suspect it was sitting at the dealership a day earlier than when they had actually called me which would mean it would have been less than a week. tc4653 Oct 7th, 2006, 04:13 PM 48 hours. Unloaded from the Maersk Wind on Thursday, left the VDC on Saturday, at the dealership Monday AM. I will pick up on Friday, since I'm out of state until Thursday. | ||
