: Best Area to Stay in Berlin Fabio Jul 5th, 2006, 04:34 PM Hi
i'm getting an apartment in Berlin this weekend but i dont know which area is the best
My option are :
Berlin Prenzlauer Berg
Berlin Wilmersdorf
Berlin Kreuzberg
Berlin Mitte
Berlin Friedrichshain
Berlin Schöneberg
Berlin Charlottenburg
which area would you recommend,
Thanks in advance
FAbio nylo Jul 5th, 2006, 04:48 PM Fabio, it depends what you are after? Each area has something to offer, it just up to you. The Mitte for example is right slap bang in the middle of things, but do you want shops etc?
Berlin is so big, with something interesting round every corner, so it probably doesn't matter too much where you stay. Public transport is excellent, so there will be no worries getting around. Trams etc also run quite late at night, so there's no worries there either :) Fabio Jul 5th, 2006, 05:03 PM Fabio, it depends what you are after? Each area has something to offer, it just up to you. Maybe ask your question on the German forum of mini2.info instead.
They have an international (english spoken) section :) nylo Jul 6th, 2006, 08:29 AM Morty speaks a lot of sense actually, should have thought about that, doh!
Yep, it was you, and yep, it probably was Sunday. We recognised the car right away, and the roof graphic convinced us (looks great btw:p;)) Banana Panceyette Jul 6th, 2006, 09:27 AM thanks Carolyn

Der "Empfohlen von" Benutzername existiert nicht.
i'm guessing it refers to the username, if so i have entered a unique username  nylo Jul 6th, 2006, 09:37 AM yeah, that means the username doesn't exist. Guess that doesn't help much  Have you anything booked yet? TBH, you're not going to struggle wherever you are, everything is in close proximity, especially with the excellent trams and buses...
I'd still say Berlin Mitte, and if you need a hotel, try Heckers (it should be on the web); it's clean, very modern, extremely handy, and very reasonably priced...;) nylo Jul 6th, 2006, 09:41 AM http://www.heckers-hotel.com/
Try that... Fabio Jul 6th, 2006, 09:47 AM http://www.heckers-hotel.com/

http://www.ferienwohnung-zimmer-berlin.de/Unterkuenfte-eng/u_list.php nylo Jul 6th, 2006, 09:57 AM The standard of accomodation is usually very high in Germany, and even though prices are really cheap, they are still generally really good, so if you can get an apartment, go for it :) nylo Jul 6th, 2006, 09:59 AM Don't imagine you'll be seeing muh of the inside of wherever you stay anyway, will you?!:p ;) Fabio Jul 6th, 2006, 10:02 AM Don't imagine you'll be seeing muh of the inside of wherever you stay anyway, will you?!:p ;)

the head is ver bad, havent slept in 3 days
WE never stayed in the apartment, it turned out to be a very dab place, big crime rate,
we drove by it stopped, ppl were looking at us, the lady opened the door to greet us, The guy i was with got out, but i was not getting out!! I told him "get the Fu*k back in here and lets go", he jumped in and i then told the taxi man to get out of here quickly, i was a bit scarred. He speed off, we had some othere lads in the minvan and they were breaking the **** laughing :p
You should have seen the look on the lady as we drove off, i thought we were dead men.
WE found a nice lil hotel in the centre ehich was perfect, and it was cheap also, so it all worked out Rakey Jul 11th, 2006, 07:20 PM the head is ver bad, havent slept in 3 days
