:D Hey all!

I really want to go to this MINI2 ball - almost went to the last one and things fell thru at the last minute. I should've checked on this sooner but busy as always.

Are there still early bird rooms or any sort of room discounts still available? I still have to get plane tickets to get to England from Las Vegas and those are not too cheap...

I and my date are planning to be there a week (maybe May 8-15). Need a place to stay the whole time - would love to stay at the same hotel as the ball the entire time but it's a bit pricey. Any recommendations? (Or does anyone have a spare room they could rent out? ) Not kidding!

We also want to do the Oxford tour while we're over there - any suggestions for place to stay nearby would be greatly appreciated. Need to get my tour booked for that as well.

REALLY, really hope to see you all there! Definitely getting ball tix and booking at least 1-2 nights by the end of this week, hopefully...

Like I said, all help/suggestions/etc would be greatly appreciated! (oh, and need to know where we can rent a MINI so we can join you on the drives!)

Thank you!!!
Annette

Mo is ................................ not going to commit himself just yet, he's a free spirit who doesn't like to plan too far ahead, he hasn't said yes, but he hasn't said no either ;) - don't worry I'll keep on at him :p

Hi Annette

The discount rooms are gone but if you want to spend the whole week there, or even a number of days, then I can ring and get a rate for you I'm sure.

MINI rental can be done through the local dealership.

Drop me a PM with details of what you want to do and we'll see what can be sorted :)

thanks, thought I would gather up some of my lovely friends as it's for charity. One of them is a classic mini fanatic, would he be allowed to join the run before the ball? he reckons it does 0-60 in under 6 seconds but not sure as he is yet to prove it! ;)

Hiya
This is a thankyou follow-up from the Charity Ball 2006.
In the raffle we won a Meal / Show do in London, which we finally did last week.
Show was "We Will Rock You", Meal was Italian.
We (Me and Helen) had a lovely time, so just wanted to say thanks to whoever gave the gift as a raffle prize
Cheers
Stuart

I will be sorting out my ticket this weekend as it is my first payday!

I'd like to just take this opportunity to let you all know that I intend on taking part in a charity event next year to raise some money for Marie Curie. :frown: The charity is close to my heart at the moment and I am lucky to be working for a company who will double anything I make.

So watch this space and i'll be posting for support once the event is finalised, i've not decided exactly what i am going to do yet but will probably involve running somewhere as it would be a great challenge for me and can train up over time  :aargh:

This is may way of showing thanks to the charity who over time have helped some of my family and friends through some tough times. I will raise as much as I can for them.

Right... off to put my ball ticket into my October budget (without Mum seeing!)
All I need now is a date!!
