Just want to welcome MTTSers to Amarillo!
Any way I can help with area info or whatever, please lemme know.
Be aware that you will probably encounter some long stretches of construction on I-40 between Albuquerque and Amarillo -- one-lane 45 mph stuff, but no dead stop-and-wait areas as far as I know.
Be sure to take in the special event in Palo Duro Canyon. It's second only to the Grand Canyon in size. And, it's fun to drive down into it.
I'll be glad to greet you personally in my electric blue '04 S under the Blue Sky sign at I-40 and Western, a good place to stop.
