I may not be looking in the right place, but have seen very little discussion about the "MINI Takes the States" event. I live 125 miles west of Nashville near I-40 and plan to attend the free concert and MINI get-together at Centenial Park in Nashville.

Registration is closed, but I saw nearly 500 cars entered for the Memphis-to-Nashville leg. I then saw a post saying they expected "over 3000 MINI enthusiasts" in Nashville.

So what's the deal on crashing the party? I'm hoping to get in my '03 EB MCS and join the caravan as it passes through Jackson Tennessee around 10:30AM. Would hate to get turned away when I reach Centenial Park though.

You should be able to get a spare wrist band from someone and crash the concert. Most of the discussion here has been in the NE forum about their leg. :)

So a wristband is required to get in? Guess I'll see what I can do about finding one once I get there. I hadn't been able to get any info on this and registration closed pretty early. I even checked at the local MINI dealership.

I was told yesterday by one of the national organizers that the concert is being advertised locally:
I'm hearing Nashville now is expecting over 3000 people, maybe more. It's being advertised in the local weekly paper there

This would suggest that some other / additional "mechanism" than the wrist band will be used to control admittance

And I'm sure spare wristbands are floating around. ;) I know someone who has 8.

Thanks for the info. I don't mind paying to get in, just wanted to be sure I COULD get in. OTOH, I'd be in good company if hundreds of other MINI owners were stuck out in the parking lot with me.

Centenial Park should be quite a scene!
