Hi, I want to fit S Side skirts to my Standard cooper, is this a relatively easy job and has any one done this and painted them body colour? will i need any special tools or extra clips etc

Dead straight forward about an hour or so to do. I would definately say get a second set of the clips from a main stealer as you will be extremely luck not to break them getting the old ones off.

If you've got some skirts cool, otherwise I've got a spare new set I think.

Body colouring is no problem, I'd just suggest you use new ones not second hand ones as they are fairly absorbent and tend to hold silicone from any cleaning products which makes painting tricky.

I've got a spare offside S skirt from my 2005 S that got a hair line scratch and I replaced. You are welcome to have it if you pay the postage from mine in Leatherhead to you. The scratch is very minor - I'm just very picky - it's called Mini OCD!

If you're painting the skirt then the scratch would be lost. Think I paid about 40 quid for the new one from the dealer. You'll also need new clips for the top bit of the sill as they break when you remove the old one.
