Told the missus 'I know an expert etc' but you know what they're like:rolleyes:
She went out and bought a bugaboo gecko & a maxi cosi cabrio.
Fits her car fine, took my old Mini to the shop & the woman tried it in the back & said it was not suitable (movement left & right)
Got the new car thought I will get the isofix base but the shop wont sell it as its not listed on their website as suitable for my car:confused:
But yet I read on the threads on here people are using it???

from what I recall the maxi cosi does fit in the MINI, but I'd have to check it myself to be totally happy and sure mate.

She wont let me take it out of the bag - as its not approved for a Mini
I mailed maxi cosi - they say its not on their list as they have not had the letter from Mini
She is trying to sell me (but not in stock a britax isofix) which she says will fit.
Does the britax have the big arm that stops the passenger seat going all the way back like the maxicosi?

yes Britax base has a leg, and its very mechanical:(

Thats rubbish about getting a letter from MINI, no manufacturer gives us letters to say that our products fit in their cars. What happens is that we have to physically try the car seats in the cars in the dealerships, that how we find out what fits in what;)

Worth checking the threads that others have posted in, as I am sure someone has tried it in already. I'd go an try it in mine, but the angle and shape of the rear bench in the convertible is diffent to the tintop so it won't tell us anything conclusive:(
