For all of you putting a toddler in the back of your MINI's, what have you done to protect the seat backs?
My two year old puts his boots all over the back of the passenger seat. I don't mind too much if they're clean and dry but with the recent snow his boots are covered in sand and dirt from any parking lot. I'm afraid the seat backs will get destroyed. :frown:
Cheers,

We never have, but I did consider. But giving them a wash/wipe down once in a while has kept them good. :)

When buying the mini we looked at several that the seat backs were all scratched and scuffed badly!
We were told by the dealers they weren't a problem to replace!
Our reply was well it still hasn't got X Y and Z we would like! ;)

Good to know they're easy to replace!
Someone gave me plastic seat back covers but they're thin clear plastic that tie on with shoe laces. I put one on for the time being but it looks terrible. I'll check into washable seat covers and possibly cover just the seat back with some durable material that I can remove when my kids are older.
Thanks,
Mark

My kids are older than toddlers but sit on booster seats with their feet resting on the back of the seats :( I've been known to make them take their shoes off! :p It's not the muck I'm bothered about, it's the possibility of scuffs & scratches

I bought some black velour material and tucked it in around the plastic on my previous cooper. It looked quite good with the black fabric seats.

I've seen car organizers with pockets that hang over the seat backs, maybe something like that would keep the scuffing down, and you could even hang them backwards to keep anything you put in the pockets clean. :)

This is what I was thinking of... I saw directions somewhere around here how to remove the seat backs so I was thinking of just wrapping each seat back with fabric or vinyl then gluing to the inside surface with a hot-glue gun so I could peel it out later.
