Just wondering if you guys would want a group of Classic Minis joining you on this run? I'd like to put a notice about this event in our club magazine and let people know it's on if there's no objections.

I've been wanting to do a combined cruise for a while - I reckon it'd be even more of a spectacle than normal to see the classic Minis and the new MINIs cruising up the road together.:D

Rest assured, We DEFINITELY don't want to take the event over or anything like that, just let our members know it's on so they can join you.

Now that you've confirmed it for the 17th, I'd like to get details into our club magazine, if everything is finalised and if there's no objections. Let me know what you think.

ROFLFunny u say that Scotty but when we all sat down he introduced himself as the Colonel, honestly. We all had a chuckle and he said everyone calls him Colonel Sanders and i think he thinks that is his claim to fame. Of course i really did ask him Louis can he tell me his secret herbs and spices and also asked him does he use Old Spice Aftershave. Had a ball. Sure he has heard them all a thousand times. Check out the guy opposite me we called him santa.LOL:biggrin:

YEah pretty much... not sure abt the separate pool of presents for the kiddies though coz we didn't have that last year and not sure how many ppl will bring anything for the kiddies... and they gotta be wrapped up, so ppl don't know what's inside them...

we usually just rock up at PITS throughout the morning... hopefully hauling our butts outta PITS by 11-11:30 heading out to Wiseman's Ferry.

Oh and yeah... scrooges don't get a go in anything ;)

Thats right Louis, they were in the boot of Brad's car. In my non child having wisdom I made them wait till after all of the festivities were over to get their presents tho :eek: (that may be why no one noticed)

Basically, the parents just stuck a present in for their kid to open - so it wasnt exactly secret santaish but the kids were definately involved :D

BTW, got an email from Captain Captain... he sends his apologies that he won't be able to make it as he'll be overseas. But in his usual unselfish manner, he's provided some goodies to give away on the day as prizes for stuff... so, although he won't physically be there with us, he'll be there in spirit.

Played in Artarmon last Sunday at the Jim Beam Cup came 19th. Not bad i suppose. Can't wait till January till the Aussie Millions in Crown Casino. Gotta go see a few businesses that r interested in sponsoring me. Whoo Hoo.
