Pete,
do you happen to know when the road was fully cleared of snow for auto traffic?

Another key component fell into place today - The Governor of the state of New Hampshire, John Lynch (like most of New Hampshire - formerly of Massachusetts) has proclaimed June 16th "MINI Cooper Day" in the Granite State. My thanks to ........ who remains nameless but without his help this would never have happened. Beth picked it up from the Governor's secretary today and has Louis guarding it. My thanks to you two as well...

Well, I think someone would have to put it in the Calendar in the first place...

Today's Globe has these listings in 'Your Weekend' Calendar:

Mt. Washington Alternate Energy Days: Don't miss the "Alternate Energy Regatta" featuring 100 mpg 'Moonbeam.' You you thought Mini Cooper had a monopoly on cute fuel economy. Sunday and Monday at the base of Mt. Washington

Loon Mountain Sneak-Peek Weekend: Ride the gondola, grab a bite to eat, squeeze through caves. Friday through Sunday, Loon Mt., Lincoln, NH.

---

Looks like everybody else is invited to both our spots, but us...

And I promise to keep my shirt on and song stylings to myself.

I thought that read "...and stop soiling myself."

Ever since the front of the Automotive section in 2004 when Royal Ford rode with us they don't mention us at all - And they DO get sent plenty:D

Now as to the calendar thing on MINI2 - Whoops- Never knew about it- All this new fangled stuff...
How do you even chisel onto it?

Let's start thinking of things to bring so the many of us with hot air upstairs forget less!

FRS radios
a cooler with some interesting beer and to store your lunch on saturday
foldable chairs so you can sit next to your car in parking lots when it's not raining
umbrellas for when it is raining
warm clothes for On Top
bathing suit for the T&C pool, hot tub, steam room, and 3 saunas
all your photo and video gadgetry
your MOT packet

So let's all show up and run circles around that moonbeam. If it's really a regatta, bring paddles.

Ahhh... a year ago I was staring longingly at these boards, pouting over the fact that I didn't think I would be welcome up at MoT, even though my car was in the works to be built the beginning of July. I waitied as the boards all fell but silent Friday through Sunday afternoon as you all went off to enjoy yourselves. And when the photos started to be posted, I lived vicariously through you all.

And now I can enjoy for myself in my MINI this year! I have to say I am quite excited that not only will I be going to MoT, but that I was able to coerce my favorite copilot to get his own MINI and join MoT too!

Can't wait... only one more day! :)

I guess I'm one of those with a DUMB delivery time. I didn't get my car until a month after MOT 2006 and was diisappointed at not being able to attend.:p

Greetings fellow travelers!
The intrepid cyclotouriste is awaiting the upcoming tour of the heights of New Hampshire with great expectations. I have an open seat available and am looking for a nubile, pneumatic traveling companion that would be interested in joining me for a climb to the peak of ecstasy. I am a good-looking fellow of genial disposition and remarkable staying power. Many have tried to bar me from these environs, but I am not easily deterred.
If you are interested, I am also planning a side trip from the Loon Lot to a nearby poultry producer and bed linen factory - I believe the name is Poltroon's Chicken+Sheets.
If anyone is interested please reply by PM and include a short bio and RECENT photo. (My last companion sent a photo resembling Greta Garbo, when in reality she bore a striking resemblance to Mother Teresa).
I look forward to renewing acquaintances with all of my little mini-friends along with meeting some new potential cycling companions.
See you On Top!

show up anyway. At the very least you will meet a bunch of really cool people. Make up a badge with your screen name and wear a large pillow bulge around your midsection and just tell people you are expecting any day now!

How much for the little girl?

Baker's car didn't sell on eBay... so I guess it's still sitting on the lot across town.
