I have a question for all those that read this thread:

What type of non-driving MINI/non-MINI events would you like to see happen that you would either watch or participate in??

I am gathering input to help come to a decision...

I've tried to get interest in a hike in past years. I still think it's a good idea, but maybe on Sunday. SOmething like Arethusa Falls -- about 2 hrs. round trip.

If we got a quick start from Loon and skipped the drive, we could do it Saturday, maybe...

Cool, that trail sounds pretty good: Frankenstein Cliff - Arethusa Falls (http://www.localhikes.com/HikeData.asp?DispType=0&ActiveHike=2&GetHikesStateID=1&ID=5693)

Although, I'd vote for Sunday. Not sure how I'd feel about skipping the drive Sat.

The loop with Frankenstein Cliffs is very nice. For a shorter hike, up and back to Arethusa Falls is still well worth it.

The falls are great - Pam and I went last year on our own with your recommendation, Richard:

Last year we were planning to hit the flume gorge or lost caves or (what is the other one), before my plans changed to waiting for a tow truck for hours in sweltering heat. I might give that another try on mot sunday.

I still like the arrive-earlier loon concours is a good idea too, weather permitting.

And I think the beer swap details need to be worked out with T&C so we dont have the hostility we had last year during trivia. Also perhaps offer trivia both nights somehow? I'm sure some people look for alternatives to hanging out in a loud, dark, packed, smokey bar (not me!). Of course nothing will match the vocal alternative that we had in 04.

Perhaps you would like to give consideration to a bicycle tour of the neighboring environs?
Be everything as it may, this transcontinental, international man of mystery is navigating to locate a good companion for a brief bicycling tour. Good is defined as---female, healthy, cyclist, with a sense of bold adventure, and the willingness to be inflat- er, compatible on a bicycle built for two.
I be fifty-three, healthy, six feet, 180 pounds, good looking but nothing to get all up in the air about, blond receding hair, green eyes, university grad., writer, teacher, parcel deliverer. Easy to get along with - adventurous, survivor, world traveler.

If interested, please post a revealing photograph and salacious reply if you would like to be considered for this esteemed bicycle post.
