Hi everybody! Shannon here....
I'm a 24 year old MINI lover from Woburn, MA. I'm a Financial Aid officer at Emerson College in Boston. senorsock (my best bud) got me into MINIs and I've loved him for it since my first MOT (05). I won the Herb Chambers lease last year, so I guess 06 was the best year of my life! I can't wait for this year. Am I allowed to buy a raffle ticket this year? hehe.

Hey all... Have not been on as much but I am still around!
I just printed and completed my registration. It is headed to the mailbox.
My name is Craig Cannon and I attended MOT in 2004 and broke in my 2004 Cooper S on the way up to Bah Habah. Not married and have no kids but do have 6 cats haha.. hmm wonder if that is the reason now that I am thinking about it?? :aargh:
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Not that you really look like a twit....but I would say Everest is the taller one and you're the "head: (read: boss, speaker of the house, queen bee, etc.). I know some guys here are who are the Head Poltroons.;)

sup all,
name is Omar and I live in Lexington. I have been addicted to Mini's for a few years now... I hate the cold but love to ski, you can try to figure that one out. Not the most frequent poster, but its all about quality not quantity! Eventually i will try to make it out to a mini event.
peace,
O

Hi Omar,

Nice pictures -- great rims. If you're ready for a MINI evenet (or a maxi-MINI event) check out MINIs on Top (http://www.mini2.com/forum/new-york-new-england-region/134387-minisontop-june-16th-2007-a.html). It's the New England biggie. Good time guaranteed,

Omar, if you ever head up to Stowe, let me know, I'll play tour guide on the mountain.

Thanks for the offer Jason... I have been up to Stowe a couple of times, but the mountain i hit the most is Sugarbush (love that place). Its funny, Whistler was the first big mountain skiing i have done and now everything around here seems so blah... ah well, make due with what you got i guess. Maybe i will squeeze in another day trip up to VT

oh yea, one more example of how much fun Whistler is (me post face plant in 1/2 foot of pow)... did i mention that Whistler is my new favorite place...

I'm afraid to go back to whistler now that it's 20x as busy as when I first went there...and the olympics haven't even hit yet.
Next time, save up and go heliskiing there. What a blast!

The crowds weren't that bad where we were, (peak areas, skiing wise)

As for the heli skiing... mmmmmmmmm, heli skiing. I am saving up and getting into peak physical shape to do this:

Heli-skiing in Alaska (http://www.chugachpowderguides.com/cpgindex.html)

probably not till '09

Chugach... mmmmmmmmmmmm, big mountains....

Snowcat skiing is almost as good as heli (or so they say) and cheaper.
I wish I was going on my group's cat trip next week... I guess I'll have to be happy that I got to go the last three years.

Hey PortMCS!! I just sold my S2K this past December and purchased my MCS a few weeks later! What was your screen name at S2KI?? So far I love my MCS much better too, as the S was stored all winter ..... hopefully I don't miss the convertable too much this spring!! Overall, I'd agree, the MCS is a lot more fun to drive.

Oh, and my intro!! My name is Dave and we've been driving Mr Bean for just over a month now (when I can wrestle it away from my wife!). We live in "the sticks" of Barrington NH. I'm a DB Anal-yst at Comcast and my wife is the Art Director for Bavarian Autosport. We look forward to our first MOT and other motoring adventures with fellow Mini owners (and former S2K owners :D)! Here's a pic of us the day we met Mr. Bean at Herb Chambers.

Sorry but i just saw this post! Im usually on NAM as i like the way its setup (alot like the s2000 forum were accustomed to) and i seldom come here. Maybe i should hangout here more often! :D OH on S2ki.com my username is "PortugueseS2K"

Anyway, i rermember you on S2KI. You had the same screen name right? Black with red interior S2K? I recently sold my red S2000 but i plan on getting another convertible within a year or so. This time it may be a BMW. Im gonna try to "keep it in the family" so to speak. Afterall, the MINI is def not going anywhere and i have no intention of selling it! It def is alot of fun! Reminds me of the cars in Europe where im originally from. Last week i had the Dinan S1 package installed by my dealer and wow did it transform the car! I:D just got it back from the bodyshop too, as they installed the aerokit and painted the black arches silver to match the rest of the car. The mod bug has def bit me hard!

Thought I'd add my 2 cents; this is my first posting here - hope it's ok! My name is Deb and my MCS (Max) arrived last May, but I didn't want to break him in by going up and down that big mountain! But this year, I'm ready, I'm registered, I'm psyched & June can't come fast enough! My husband is joining me, but will be under strict orders not to comment on my driving (I make up for the time we loose when he's behind the wheel...if ya know what I mean!). We're staying at the T & C and look forward to meeting everyone! Will post a pic when I figure out how to do so! Max is pretty sharp if I say so myself!

Looking to meet up with some folks from southeastern Mass or RI, so gimme a shout!:indi:

I thought that was you, yes my screen name was scho01 I did have a Berlina with red/black interior, good memory!! I still visit the S2K site from time to time. My in-laws still have an S, so we'll probably tag along for some of their trips this summer too.
Nice upgrades!! I was thinking of painting the black trim the body color as well. What did that cost if you don't mind me asking? Do you have pics, I would love to see it. Hope to see you at some of the events this upcoming year! You should give a shout out to the S2K site, a bunch of users were asking about you not too long ago.

Been meaning to post here for some time, and fiinally dug out just the right picture.

http://www.thibodeaus.com/images/crows%20nest.jpg

That's me on the left (David) and my son (Chris) on the right. We're surfing the crows nest at the very top of the instrument station on Mt. Washington, MoT 2005.

Chris has a MINI Cooper - chili red with white roof of course.
I've got a Cooper S - jet black on jet black.

Hope to meet lots of new folks and see some old friends at MoT '07
