Putting this out to see who's interested. Thought it might be fun for those of us going to Indy F-1 race. I plan on flying... trying to burn my US Airways frequent flier miles before they go out of business or get bought out! Would still like to get together although I'll be there w/o the Mini.

Sorry, but I'll be w/o MINI also...perhaps all of us w/o MINI should bring pics...or maybe lifesize cardboard cut-outs. Just a thought! Hope that Michael calls in sick that weekend...

I'll be at the race with my MINI - I'm parking at the BMWCCA car corral - suggest others do the same if there is still space, good way to be sure you car will be in safe hands.

I will be at the USGP also :D.............although I don't know how I'm getting there yet........I may or may not have my MINI.

It's less than two weeks now until the USGP. Just hoping that it is not a Ferrari spanking like the rest of the season has seemed to be.

Anyone have any plans in the works yet for a gathering?

Just wanted to bring this thread back to the top. :D

Will be there sans Cooper :(, but maybe we could meet at the track Saturday or Sunday??

The people from the Indy BMWCCA were at the WPAFB MINI-meet! Barbara had the red Cooper and her friend had the lowered EB Cooper S, I didn't make the connection until after the meet was over, but I'll see them again at the F-1 race.

I wish I was going to the GP. I went last year and it was the greatest event I'd ever been too.
Everything is so expensive, just can't afford it this year.

I'm thinkin' of crashing the Miata cruise at the Sonic drive-in (s'posed to be close to the Speedway) Saturday night...Wrong car but I need all the "spaciousness" of the MINI (c'mon...compared to the Miata):D

to those of you in the Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana club, sadly I won't be able to produce a club info-sheet which you can use to draft more members into our club. It is currently in the layout phase, and probably will be ready for next week.

Until then, you can always leave a piece of paper on the windshield (personally, I hate it when advertisers do this, but at least we aren't selling a product). Just have them email me at gvestes @ yahoo.com if they are interested in more information.

Did not visit the corral, and only saw 2, possibly 3 MINIs all weekend...a DS/W MCS and a CR/W Cooper twice...

The only MINIs at the BMWCCA corral besides mine were a CR/W Cooper and a EB/B MCS. Two more MINIs were there on display from the local dealer - EB/W MCS and a CR/B MC.

Other than these all I saw the whole weekend were a Yellow/Black MCS, DS/B MCS and a DS/W MCS.

I saw 4 MINIs this weekend at Indy. In the paddock, there was a DS/W Cooper S (for sale) and a CR/W Cooper with 15 inch white holeys. Later in Indy I saw a Liquid Yellow/Black Cooper S and an Indi Blue/White Cooper.

There were more MINIs there back in August
when I toured the Indy F1
track, and met some other motorists from
mini2.com (Yoda et al).

This event was a promotion for people who
bought blocks of F1 tickets for last weekend's,
Ferarri parade, and we were able to drive our
own cars around the track.
