: Removing Rear Wash Wipe Question. Merlin 2 Jul 29th, 2007, 12:13 PM Hi all
I have just removed the rear wash wipe from my MCS and want to isolate the wire in the stalk that sets the rear washer working, so that should I inadvertantly try to use the rear washer the washer motor doesnt try to push the water to the back of the car.
What I need to know is which wire is it from the back of the wiper stalk that is the one for the rear washer motor so that I can remove it from the wiring block (colour and pin number please) Merlin 2 Oct 31st, 2007, 12:50 AM bump! chris.lamb Nov 6th, 2007, 08:23 AM The wire that controls the rear washer pump is :-
Signal WW_R
0.35mm˛
Colour SW/BL/GE (Black/Blue/Yellow)
Connector X10692
Pinout cavity 5
So if you disconnect the above wire @ the connector that goes into the stalk it should stop the rear window wash pump. bubblegoose Nov 6th, 2007, 08:28 AM The wire that controls the rear washer pump is :-

Is it a track car for which weight is critical? Damo Nov 6th, 2007, 07:08 PM Claner look at the back, and weight saving....but its a while off for me, as going to do it properly (rear seats delete etc) monkeynuts Nov 6th, 2007, 08:00 PM Did this a couple of years ago (i thnk) on my old black s

Nothing to do with weight saving .... just looks :D Ant FR Nov 7th, 2007, 05:04 PM yep, that does look good, i wish it was simpler to remove the rear badge, but with the bloody holes needed to be filled its an expensive exercise.
Does lok good though.
However not sure i could live without a rear wiper when it starts to rain, spray is a rel problem on the Mini Merlin 2 Apr 27th, 2008, 10:57 PM O.K. guys I know this is a long time ago but just got round totrying the wireing and it was spot on - black, blue, yellow wire in pin 5 of the wiper stalk - just removed the wire from the block put everything back togeather and now no motor sound when you turn the stalk for the rear wash - fantastic, another mod finished. M.O.S Jun 7th, 2008, 11:16 PM I would have left the wiper on - you'll regret it in the winter - the back of minis is a magnet for dirt!!! Still, I'm sure it'll look good - and especially different. | |
