Right as mentioned in another thread i plan to drop the R56 because it rides too high for me compared to the R53.

So is it worth getting the SS ? Does the SS come with the lower strut brace as i believe the later R53s did? Or am i wrong on that?

Will the SS lower the car at all or does it just stifen up the ride. If it doesn't drop it then its probably not worth speccing if i plan on dropping a few mm's is it?

I don't believe it lowers the car... so ticking that box will not do what you want.

Why not add the aero kit and then the car appears lower without mucking up the suspension settings on the car ?

It doesn't lower the car, it's much the same concept as the SS+ on the first gen MINIs, in that it stiffens the suspension and reduces roll by way of larger anti-roll bars.
