So 2 litres will be more than enough for a complete brake fluid change?

what fluid did you get, did you notice a change?

Yeah sure it was 2 1litre bottles, it was dot 5.1 and compared to the OEM ones a considerable improvement:D i've got the bottle that was left over somewhere in the shed i'll have a butchers for it later.

2 litres is what you need and you'll probably use 1.75 litres.

Here is more information about brake fluids StopTech : Balanced Brake Upgrades (http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_brakefluid_1a.shtml) and a how-to Lone Star Mini Club Forums - Brake Fluid Flush (http://www.lonestarminiclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=476)

Two liters will do a thorough flush and one liter is good enough for a bleed. Something I don’t mention in the how-to is gravity bleed. After the first bleed I wait a half hour and perform a second bleed, then I give the calipers a few taps with a nylon ratchet handle, wait a while, and perform gravity bleed (non-pressurized) to finish. Use all of the fluid because it can’t be saved for later.
