Hi everyone,
mico you were lucky that you didn't have your mini to came :D I went cause I'm working nearby and it was difficult to leave from there cause of the roads, traffic, and at some places total luck of traction. We don't give up and we'll arrange next week same place, time, day :D Hope you're fine and enjoy the snow.Keep the beauties into garages till the ice gone away :)
p.s. minijuul I believe that you stayed home yesterday and you didn't go

While you guys get all the snow, us here north get all the cold. It was -15 this morning, perfect weather for intercooled cars :p you feel that you have 20 more HP. Don't lock your cars when snow comes you can have tons of FUN if you have the right tires and know how to drive under these conditions.

P.S Sunday I went to monemvasia and It was really pity that I didn't see any MINI there or all the way to go and return :rolleyes: There was and I missed it :p or there wasn't? :rolleyes: Anyway it was a great trip and I loved the driving although I should return the same day. :( 670Km with a 4 hours stop. Lets do it guys some other time with more days to spend and MINIs to watch :D

Thank you for the hello's! I went to the website... it's nice looking... but I am ashamed to say that even though I know how to speak greek fluently, I never went to greek school to really learn how to read in greek :( I was born in Thessaloniki but grew up here in Chicago.

Are the MINI pretty popular in Greece now? The last time I was there, in 2001, the Smart was very popular.

Yes, Minis are quite popular here in Greece like the rest of the world, even though they aren't exactly a bargain, you buy them cheaper in US.

How much does an S sell for in Greece?
I sell MINIs here in the states and am curious.

The base price, for the S, is about 25k euro. The Cooper starts from 19.6k euro and the One which you don't get it over there from 16.6k euro. The diesel is not imported here.

Growing up I always thought everything was inexpensive in Greece. I could visit and go home with the nicest stuff that cost half as much as it does in the states. I guess things have changed.

It was still less expensive. We were able to buy bottled water for 50 cents, Gordons space for 3 dollars, and a pair of channel sunglasses for $120... here in the states they were selling for 300 dollars. Now this was right before greece went to euros. My cousin has said that costs more now... especially since the euro is slightly higher than the dollar.
