Just received my acceptance to this school Sept. 26-27. I've been wanting to get out to the Glen for a very long time.

Any one else from New England planning for this event?
How about a Caravan out the day before or back the day after?
Lodging suggestions?
Anyone with tires and brakes that would last four days in a row....also toying with the Genesse Valley event Sept. 28-29? Registration for that opens today!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to sign up for the Boston chapter event. As for a caravan, I forget what my route out there is... I think the first common point we'd have would be the Thruway (they spell it wrong officially, right?) at Albany.

Last time I was there, I had a cheap room that was 45 minutes away in Horseheads(?). I think Kathleen or Rick know of a better cheap option closer to Watkins Glen.

There's a lot of small motels in Watkins Glen, though I'm not sure of their prices or reputations.

Seneca Lodge and the Glen Motor Inn are 2 of the biggest, and right in town. Geneva is 45 minutes away, but on the way from the Thruway.

After seeing the NASCAR race at the Glen last weekend, there is no doubt in my mind - I'll be there!
