My MCS 2003 has just gone over 30,000 miles. Lots of life left in it :)

Just found this thread and the adventures of HWS. Impressive mileage HWS. I thought my MCSC had done some kilometers (miles) but it pales when compared with HWS. My 05 MCSC has only done 227,000 Kms (141,000 miles). Owned it from new, no mechanical issues, still a lovely car to drive ( 160Km commute each day) and the car still loves the twisty bits.

Not much new news again this time.

The beautiful thing about having a car this capable and reliable
is that it's very seldom necessary to tell people about
parts that have worn out, fallen off,
or things that are just crying out to be 'improved'.

No, this might actually be the most 'as delivered' MINI out there; -
I know I've mentioned it - but, you probably don't remember -
this MINI is still quietly cruising with its original muffler -
and shocks - and struts - and transmission - and most other things.

Well, gotta go now; - We're having a delightfully mild winter this year -
sun's out - and I'll have the SunRoof open for my 50 mile drive to Dinner.

P.S. HINT: Don't sell your old MINI prematurely- after 300 or 400 thousand miles
you'll really be proud of it. There were no car washes nearby,
so this is exactly how it looked when I stopped to take its
475,000 mile pictures near the Milwaukee Wisconsin Art Center.

Wow... that's seriously impressive and probably a good job you're not selling it I guess as minis with high mileage don't really seem to fetch much!

mine is also 2003 JCW MCS, but 73K miles on the clock, Glasgow clearly gets more sun than England, must be that global warming ;)

Hi all, I have a 2003 CVT MINI built the week ending 2/14/03. I pickied it up from the dealer on 3/9/03. It now has 104700 miles on it. I will add that I've now changed the CVT fluid 3 times. That was not part of the original maintenance requirement, but it is now. I'm thankful for every day that goes by and that CVT keeps going. How are the other CVTs out there doing?

Not long ago I got to 222,222 miles and took a picture with the odometer on 22.2 as well; that's 22.2 222222! My May 2004 Cooper, which I've had from new is now up to 224500 and it will pass the 225k at the weekend.

that's brilliant, well done !!

a lot more difficult to hit that kind of mileage in the UK, whereas in the US a good bit easier.

i have about 20k miles

At least I know mine will last a while then, its currently got 000012 miles (thats twelve) on the clock. max of 4 a week so far, mind you it is on runflats :tongue:

My '52 is about to clock 105,000. Not too bad, some may say high but my partners civic '56 is nearly 80,000 so im happy with 105 lol

My 52 2003 cooper is on 118k miles.:D
