Why are the back seats in a Convertible ;) useless???.. they are there to serve a purpose, carry passengers, dont want back seats ? get a GP...
My Harmon Kardon works just fine ;):)

An ICE install in place of the rear seats is tricky as they're mounted above the fuel tank - which obviously can't be moved all that easily.

I'd suggest talking to Mikey at NewMINIStuff.com (http://www.newministuff.com) - he has done a fabulous ICE install in my convertible. I've got a beautifully hidden (under passenger seat) 500W amp which upgraded speakers all round - but i'm sure he could take it further if your wallet allowed ;)

GP is a GP

Not a convertable

Best to take an S convertable and Tune it or buy a JCW convertable.

No pics I'm afraid, the amp is hidden under the seat, and the standard speaker grilles are used so it's a totally stealth system - you wouldn't know till you turned it up ;)

All the kit prices are on the newministuff site, only difference is you can't have 6x9s in the rear like the hardtop does.... browse his site a bit, then drop him an email with what you're after :D

I have to say though, the quality of his work is awesome - and he is very good at dismantling MINIs :D - he has even replaced all the speaker wires in mine, and fitted lots and lots of lovely sound deadening :D

This was the basic kit - NewMINIStuff.com (http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop.php?action=productshow&id=420)

Only difference were the rear speakers, Mike used some Kenwood ones in mine.

And the sound is excellent - even with the roof down at XX speed on the M3 / A31
