Hi all,

Bit confused here, i used to have a 2004 plate mini one. And have just purchased a 57 plate. Am i missing something or is there no where to see what the engine/oil temperature is???
I like to make sure the car is up to temperature before thrashing, but i cant find this anywhere? can someone help?
I dont plan on thrashing it yet because i have got to do 1000 miles first ;-) but its best to find out before i start revving it hard! haha

Sadly the R56 does not have a temerature guage....so you are not missing anything as it is just not there....

Why they choose to miss that out is a mystery... if they'd replaced it with a oil pressure guage it would have been ine but presently I have no idea how long the engine takes to heat up


...though with the red hot turbo on mine probably not very long...

Gutted! Now i will not know how warm the car is before i revv it :mad:
What a stupid idea not putting one of them in. Oh well. There are other features i can feast my eyes on: Like the Stop Start engine - Still arent used to it. People on the street look at me and think i have stalled the car, deep down they are laughing at me :p
