: Aerokit Model?

I am trying to find a model of a first generation Cooper S with the aerokit fitted in Electric Blue.

I've found Minichamp models and official MINI/JCW models but none seem to be in Electric Blue.
(I prefared the MINI/JCW model)

Does anyone know if these are or were available in Electric Blue, or any other Mini aerokit models?

I've seen a few 1:18 scale models of the MINI One with the aero kit. They are made by Kyosho. But I've never seen it in Electric Blue.

There's also a 1:43 scale MINI One (with the aero kit) by Minichamps. But I've only seen it in silver.

As far as I am aware, you dont get such a model, either official Mini or other.

Only R53 you get with the aero kit is the red works or the Mini one with the aerokit that you can fit and remove. Did look for a Dark Silver S with the aero kit but couldnt get the correct rims.

It is a DIY job if you are really keen. Would love to try it but the models arent cheap.

Best solution I could come up with was to either buy the Kyosho Works kit and take it apart, sand down and spray the parts you require in electric blue. This is probably your best solution as then it would have the correct 18 inch rims and spotlights.

Or

Get the Kyosho Electric blue Cooper S, and the Kyosho Mini One with changable bumpers and try and spray and then fit the aero bumpers.

Friend is a skilled airbrusher, and he uses some liquid masking, which would make spraying the parts a doddle. He might be able to help advise you on masking material to use.

Actually tempted to get the R56 model and spray the rims, then canabalise the R53 works model and a standard Mini for seats and I would nearly be there, for a model of mine, lol.

Could do it but it Gets a bit expensive is the only problem, and its criminal breaking the works models into parts.

I spotted that kit, shame the wheels are wrong :(

Looks like I may be on the hunt for the red JCW Model and a tin of electric blue spay paint

Fujimi sell packs of wheels. you might be able to find a set which look like Bullets.

I have to get round to finishing my kit, it been sitting for over a year. Far better than Tamiya
