Are the rumors true?

Did Steve cave?

Is the neighborhood going to hell in a handbasket?

And the big question.....did he also become a .Mac member?

Say it ain't so. Please. Say it ain't so.

Not much gets me out of retirement....but I couldn't pass up this one.

The handbasket is on its way...
Steve still can't afford an IT dept so he switched to take advantage of free advice on the Tech Geek thread.
Actually I heard he was trying to start something called ".rac" or was it ".sac" -
I don't know, but he said you couldn't join because you didn't have either.

It has come to my attention that he is a .mac member.

When the fish bites, he goes hook line and sinker.

Someone send him a .bmp attachment. We'll just sit back and watch.

One more down. Rick, you're next. Then it's on to Secco.

I'm going downstairs to fire up my BeOS machine. I feel a need to distance myself from all of you.

And one more thing. It's a very nice swamp. A very, very nice swamp.

Baker, if the BeOS machine still won't work, I've got the original purchased install disks and manual you can borrow.

LMFAO!... too funny! good to see Jeff climbing out from the rock he hides under every now and then (I think it's a few paces away from my rock, but I haven't been able to confirm it other than the occasional sighting of a red Honda nearby..)

Yeah, sure. Just another phishing attempt. I ain't falling for this one.

So Steve, seriously, how did this happen? Did your wife head out shopping, and you asked for a Big Mac?

I see red Hondas but the driver is usually wearing a hat sideways, slouched down and listing dangerously to starboard in that idiotic gangsta lean. Baker. ha.
Why get his addy? You are far better off for having lost it.

So get this: Joan had a late night at BC Monday so made a res. at a Holiday Inn Xpress in Cambridge. She got into the parking lot about 9 p.m. Got out of the car and steps onto unplowed unsanded unsalted frozen slush and hits the deck. Can't get up, crawls into the lobby. Fibula sheared in half and now in a cast for 6 weeks and no driving. Hopefully when the cast comes off it will be healed and she will not need surgery/pins/etc.
I had to pretty much force the hotels hand to provide taxi vouchers for her to get to hospital and even give her the time of day. A-holes. And get this, despite having two people on staff at the front desk she said it was at least 15-20 mins. before one of them went out to add sand or salt. Did get them to flat bed her car to the Cape at their expense last night as we had no way to shuttle it and I'm not into perjuring myself to AAA for a tow.
After thinking it over I concluded that there must be a reasonable expectation that when you step of your car in a hotel lot you will be safe and not end up in a face plant , hospitalized and compromised for months. Now searching for personal injury lawyer....as much as I hate to. Figure if the hotel is negligent enough to leave their lot and walkways slick and unsafe and we now have extended medical issues, pain (and I must say she is really hurting), and all the appointments, work shuffling, taxiing, etc. we might as well look for help.
I may get her one of those little elect. scooters for getting around the house.....not sure if I should get all seasons or R compounds for racing in the house.

Call me...the ambulance chaser downstairs is really good and licensed in Mass.

That's terrible news, Steve ... no point me saying "get well soon" since she can't :(

I'd be seriously p***d is Margaret had suffered like that; while I also hate the whole concept of Sokolov etc, like you I might consider shouting in their direction

My wife and kids keep asking me why you never wave back. They say it takes all the fun out of the stalking.

Can't you guys spell out address? a-d-d-r-e-s-s? See, it's easy. You probably can't spell sandwich either.

Give my best regards to your wife and my wishes for a speedy recovery. But be not so sure that all the pain and suffering she is going through is due to the recent accident. Sometimes accidents can be the catalyst that allows the outpouring of all the repressed pain and suffering.

Sorry to hear what that parking lot did to Joan. I wish her a speedy recovery, and you as well, Steve- in other aspects of the same respect.

Ouch. Send her my best wishes, Steve. I fractured my ankle a couple of years back (it's still not right...) and there are few things worse than being held back by your body.

Even worse, she can no longer run away from you!

Do you know the difference between a codfish and a personal injury lawyer?

one is a slimey mud sucking bottom feeder and the other is a fish.

Sorry to hear of Joan's travails, hope for a speedy and complete recovery. And finally, I think Hannah has convinced me that we *need* to become .mac people, ok so now hell hath frozen over................

I just pitched a Mac to a buddy last night. No (or almost no) virii, unless you're a stupid computer user, in which case you get what's comin' to ya. No crapload of stuff to uninstall when you get a new one. They Just Work™. And they're purdy.
