: Skiing/riding, anyone?

The idea for this thread is to keep a make-a-date conversation going for ski/board gatherings.

First one: tomorrow (12/6) is $39 day at Okemo, and their conditions sound great. I'm seriously considering a hooky day to hit the slopes (I'll consider other mountains too, but not much further from Cambridge Jason). Anybody interested?

I'd love to, but the timing doesn't work for me tomorrow. I definitely want to get out and do some skiing this year, tho!

I STILL plan on taking up jason's offer of a guided tour of stowe one of these winters.

And I was home yesterday, too. That's alright, as tired as I was, that wouldn't have been a good idea. And I got my Christmas shopping done (mostly). Some day.

I definitely want to go skiing, but I'm afraid I will have to wait until a weekend day. I'm up for any mountain though, I have ned skis that never touched snow last winter! :(

Does Ned want his skis back?

In an effort to save money so I can get the broken MINI fixed, I didn't buy a season pass this year. That makes it the first year in 10 years that I don't have a pass.

I'm not sure how mush skiing / snowboarding I will be doing this winter. :(

We got a brochure from Sunapee and it looks like they're giving lessons for free. I've always wanted to learn how to snowboard (figure this would be the easiest since I used to skate). But I'm always up for tubing:p

There's a pretty decent hill out in Bedford, NH (at Benedictine Park) that could be used for sledding. It's not a monster, and you'll have to dodge dogs, but it could still be fun! :)

Just curious it's been about 7 years since I have snowboarded. What is going rate for lift tickets now?

They've become way too expensive. A Stowe 1-day pass is in the $80 neighborhood. Sumggs is $60. Maybe I won't go snowboarding this winter.

Let's do it again so it'll hit 70º!

Wow and to think I used to ride 60+ days a season only one of those seasons I had a pass, I would be broke now.

FYI - for anyone that can play hooky tomorrow, Crotched Mountain is $9 tomorrow (Tues the 18th). Not a big mountain, but can't beat the price and conditions are excellent.

The first mountain I skied at outside of CT. Seemed pretty big at the time! :)
