Hi folks,

My 2002 cooper Cvt auto box died on friday...I have put it into a BMW place in Glasgow..they said it will be over 2 grand just for the part.

Does this sound right? does anyone know?

Anyone got any idea how many hours it takes to swap the CVT transmission??

my Mini Coper 02 has done less the 50k miles...is it common for a automatic transmission to fail

The short answer is yes, the MINI CVT transmission is crap. Unfortunately, so is the midland standard gear box.
