Hi There

I dont have before and after on the One or Cooper, but I do have a re-map only Cooper S before and after on the Dyno computer I think, showing an 8bhp increase. I'll get it posted up :)

Hi Will,

Are these re-maps your own making, or are you agents for SuperChips or MTH etc.?

If it's your own system, how does it work? Is it a plug-in device like the Bluefin or is it downloaded via a laptop (like MTH).

Is it sold as a do-it-yourself package or does it need fine tuning on a rolling road?

I'm interested in getting my 2002 MCS to run properly on 98RON.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi

You will be fine on any Super unleaded fuel (97+ octane) 98 just ensures maximum power output.

Feel free to contact me with any other questions :)

Hi Dave

The software is developed in house. Some will remember that P-Torque and MTH were the main software tuners on here a few years back.

The software is flashed using a professional interface. There is nothing wrong with the DIY methods, but I choose not to use them as every car that come in has a general check over and test drive before I carry out the mapping to make sure all is well.

The maps are already developed for the best performance, Dyno tuning is only needed when the car has been more heavily modified :)

Any other questions, please ask

Any other questions, please ask :wink:What sort of bhp would be gained from a 210 jcw that has had a +3 crank pulley , high flow air filter , gtt intercooler & de-cat manifold. p.s would this stop the pops & crackles as i don't want to lose them. Also where are you baised. i would be using high octane fuel..

Sounds good Mon_Star_Z! :D

Just out of curiousity (I have a ONE and not an MCS)... if the car is now running with both increased performance and better fuel economy, does that mean it's now running leaner than stock? If so, I've heard running an engine on the lean side can be a little risky at higher boosts and rpms - how do you get around this?

All the best,
Andrew.

Hi There

We are in Wolverhampton.

You would gain approx 10 - 12bhp with those mods. Figures don't mean alot though, once mapped well, the response and smoothness will be vastly improved, ironing out any flat spots.

You will still pop and crackle, usually a little more ;)

Hi Andrew

Adjusting the timing, allows optimised fuelling. Fuelling is in relation to engine load, and because we are optimising the ignition and fuel maps, less engine load - less fuel request.

Running lean is more than risky, its fatal for an engine. I would not let a car out of the workshop if it was running lean.

Hi!

Real figures I would suggest 135 - 140hp is possible. To achieve this, you must run the car on Super unleaded only. Ideally 98 octane :)

It would also be worth fitting some Iridium spark plugs ;)

Plugs and leads done :)

Intresting, whats the price all in for the map and runs ?

Hi!

The P-Torque custom mapping is £295.00 all in, which includes dyno power runs before and after with prinouts outs.

Our stage 1 is £245.00 all in, however this won't allow for your current mods/set up :)

And would I be better off with the custom map or the stage 1 option?

When you say custom you do mean it? I know how alot of companys work and im not willing to pay that money for a map that was made 8 years ago by some half wit :p;)

Thanks

When he did my r56, it was done to my car and my mod at the time so it was individual.
