: New on here and waiting for new car cbpete Apr 7th, 2008, 11:37 AM Hi Guys, Came across site by accident so pleased I did looks a great site :D, just 11 more days to wait until I get my Cooper, always wanted one so pushed the boat out this year to get one. Only downside is all the options I had to put on, to spec it up to what my Renault Megane has on it, then still missing my keyless entry had to stop putting option on as it was going over my budget :(.
But so looking forward to owning it, the 3 test drives I had just got better each time, and I like the stop and start feature, save a bit of fuel and will not have to give as much tax to tax man :).
looking forward to looking and reading the forum. Will put some pics on when I get it.
cbpete :) KPKalle Apr 7th, 2008, 11:38 AM Welcome cbpete :D Tell us a little more about what options you did go for ;) cbpete Apr 7th, 2008, 12:29 PM Hi, Well may of gone over the top on option I am sure I could of lived without some of them.
So I added Pepper pack, bonnet strips, auto aircon, auto lights and wipers, sports seats, cream door and dash trim, interior chrome pack, black piano trim, folding mirrors, bluetooth with USB audio, white indicators, anthracite roof lining, TLC pack and a union Jack rear view mirror cover. Think I have got it all. and some union Jack dust caps, hehehe lockable ones at that.
So it should look cool when I get it.
cbpete :) Martin L Apr 7th, 2008, 12:33 PM Welcome and nice spec :)

Ordering a MINI is like ordering Chinese food: you always get more than you need but less than you want. ;) airbusA346 Apr 7th, 2008, 08:19 PM but thats just the thing... i didn't go crazy!

Not beening funny but I bet white wheels are a pain you will have to keep takeing them off every month just keep them from going yellow but thats my opinion :hmph: Deako Apr 9th, 2008, 02:02 PM We still have about 10 weeks till we get ours. The pain!! :(

Body Care cbpete Apr 11th, 2008, 07:36 PM Hi Andy, I liked the sparkling silver and thought about it myself, but had to stop spending, so Metallic paint had to be put to one side. I took my insurance down to garage today, Salesman told me mine was in the workshop been checked over. Can not wait now. Let me know how you go on and take some pics for us.
cbpete :) supa-dupa-cooper Apr 11th, 2008, 07:43 PM You mean it was in the workshop and you didnt ask to see it  I'd have been right in there :p Tunster Apr 11th, 2008, 08:03 PM I put on just the right amount of options on my Cooper S. I could of easily gone overboard for the Sat Nav, MSFW, Bluetooth/USB, LSD, auto aircon, full leather. However, I don't need these and have quite settled with what I picked. For me, the Chilli pack had most of what I wanted. I wanted the car more than gadgets, although I love gadgets :D.
Good luck with your Cooper and hope we can see many piccies :D. cbpete Apr 12th, 2008, 07:23 PM Hi supa-dupa-cooper, I so wanted to go look at it, but I was on my way to work and had to take a detour to the garage then got stuck in road works which I know I would get stuck in on way back as well, so did not have a look :-(
cbpete supa-dupa-cooper Apr 12th, 2008, 07:27 PM I'd have been late to work instead :D I even skived out of work early to go see my roof being done :o :D airbusA346 Apr 13th, 2008, 10:43 AM I'd have been late to work instead :D I even skived out of work early to go see my roof being done :o :D
Tut Tut Jo. :p mister.t Apr 14th, 2008, 03:33 PM Sounds like a mega spec :D:D
I'm always playing around on the configurator, and its all too easy to go and spend way too much! I rarely get a car under £17k it seems!
Look forward to some pics :) cbpete Apr 14th, 2008, 07:36 PM Hi mister.t, I know what you mean about the configurator, I spend hours on it. I had some fantastic specked cars, Had a Cooper-S which looked so cool but would cost £21,000 way over my budget. Maybe next time round who knows, or if that lotto machine throws out my numbers, but I get the feeling it does not like me.
