(apologies if this is old news)

Just heard about the Texas All British Car Day, to be held this weekend at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, TX. There's no separate class for new MINIs, but we are welcome to participate under the "special interest" class. If they get enough new Mini attendance, we'll get our own class next year. So, central Texas New MINI motorers, come 'on out!

There's also a fun rally Saturday evening out to Lime Creek Road (woo hoo! twisties galore! :D ) ending at the Oasis (woo hoo! nachos and margaritas! :D :D ) on Lake Travis.

Trigger (our Red/White MCS) will be out there proudly strutting his stuff. If any one from the list makes it out, look for the REALLY tall guy!

More info on the event available at: http://www.txabcd.org/

Cheers,
ApexChaser

I plan on being there!

But, since my new Cooper S in still in the bodyshop, I'll take my classic Mini.

Wow, how fun! I might see if I can make it, too-- if I can muster a friend or two to go from Houston, since I don't want to make the drive alone (haven't got a MINI yet). :)

Hey, it was a great show. It was well-organized and and was held in a great park setting with lots of nice British cars being shown.

There were 13 classic Minis including two Innocentis and a Clubman (all very rare in the US) and there were also three new MINIs - two S's and a Cooper! - a good showing considering the nearest MINI dealer is 400+ miles away. :)

Momentum MINI opens in Houston in October; tomorrow, some say. :)

I'm still likely to buy from MINI Center in San Antonio, though-- I just like their laid-back nature.
