Strange question, but, does anyone know if you need to do anything added onto your car to activate the boot (trunk) button from the key?

As I understand the user manual I push the button and the boot (trunk) should open...have I read this correctly or am I in need of an eye/reading test? lol

Hold the button down and the boot will UNLOCK

it does not spring open like many other cars do.

And make sure the car is open as it won't work if the car is locked.

mine works with a long (3-5 second) press irrespective of whether the car is locked or not. its a shame it doesnt actually open - it did on my 5 series and was more useful than i thought!

I tried this after I got home from work and it worked :)

Who would have thought that I could be so pleased with just having a button the popped the boot open lol...But I do think it will be handy in the supermarket.

Was your car unlocked when this happened?
