Hi Everyone
Just a little over three days until the "Great Pumpkin Run 2008" :D (Saturday, Oct 4, 2008)
The Pumpkin Run will be starting from two ends this time. The Calgary group will be setting off from Deerfoot Mall and the Edmonton group will set off from Gateway Park. In both cases we will be meeting up at 9:00 am for registration and leave at 10:00 am. Registration is $5 each for adults and children with children under 2 being free, this is to cover the cost of the pumpkin.
We will be arriving into Red Deer's Gasoline Alley at the Husky/Smitty's on the west side of Hwy 2 between 11:45 - 12:00. Anyone from Central Alberta is more than welcome to meet us there and join in on the run. We will be departing again at 12:15, and will head 10 minutes south to "The Jungle Farm" between Innisfail and Penhold.
The Jungle Farm has a variety of activities planned such as a Corn Maze, Bale Maze, Hay Rides etc and more importantly you can pick a pumpkin from the "Pumpkin Patch". There will be home smoked beef on a bun, smokies and a few other items for a small cost. Radio station KG 95.5 will be broadcasting live from 10 until 4. Door prizes will be handed out.
We are hoping to get at least 50+ Minis in attendance, such that we can use the group photo for next years 50th Anniversary of Mini. We plan to send the picture to MC2 and Modern Mini to hopefully be published.
