Hey guys,
i got my self a janspeed manifold for my mini one, to be fitted in conjunction with my current milltek cat back exhaust system,
got it fitted on friday and now ( monday morning ) a warning light has popped up permanently saying:
Deterioration of exhaust emission values !?!?!?!
what is that about !? Whats it exactly mean ?, easily fixed ? inexpesive ?
look forward to your replies guys !
cheers

Tis manifold is without cat, right?
Than you have two options: put the cat back or remap the software.
I advise you to remap the software.Take a custom version, special made for your car on the rolling bank. My advise is to remap the ECU after mechanic changings, especially when a manifold is replaced. Did you replace the centre pipe too? If you don't I would advice you to do that (before remapping).
For a better airflow. At this moment you have a manifold and an exhaust that flows the air better, but between them you have constriction. With a thicker centre pipe you don't!
I've a Supersprint exhaust with a custom made stainless centre pipe with the same sizes as a centre pipe of Supersprint.

Have you tried giving Lohen a call?
I have heard something regarding emissions when you fit a High Flow Cat that it can put the reading out slightly for the sensors before and after the cat that compare emissions.
I believe it's nothing to worry about and is just outside of the factory parameters.
I'm sure I also saw somewhere that you can buy an extension piece for the sensor after the Cat so the sensor is not directly in the exhaust airflow and therefore remedies the problem, but I can't find it anywhere now. Wondered if I dreamt it.

its down to the "high flow" of your cat, you need either an emulator or a step off for the sensor

hey guys cheers for the replies !
ive took it to a local garage and the light is off now. but its the sensor that heeps triggering it off, he said it will probably come back on. its just that the threshold of the sensor is not very big, and with a slight increase in temperature the sensor activates the light. he said it may come back on in a day, or even weeks, depending on how i drive etc, but its nothing to worry about and it will cause no harm.
he mentioned that outthere somewhere, will be a map that someonce has created that gives the sensor a bigger threshold and will resolve the issue of the light coming on. anyone know any one who has this map ? haha
anymore info is appricated
