You lightweights! Proper seats are the best upgrade you can add.

250bhp from £400 - best money you can spend IMO

It looks like a tight squeeze getting anyone in or out of the back with the JCW seats :( They're expensive, but that doesn't actually put me off as much as I thought that it would, but the rear access issue is the deal-breaker for me. Assuming I actually get a JCW now.

Oh dear! This is proving to be (virtually) very expensive indeed. So, to make my factory JCW a 'proper' JCW i'll need to add the following:

1. JCW Sports Steering Wheel (leather or alcantara)
2. JCW strut brace
3. JCW suspension kit (is the strut brace part of this???)
4. Ditch the runflats and get standard tyres
5. JCW Sports Seats
6. JCW Carbon Rear Spoiler
7. JCW Carbon Diffuser
8. Silver/black R113 wheels
9. JCW Carbon Scoop
10. JCW Carbon Boot Handle
11. JCW Carbon Door Handles & Door Mirror Housings
12. The P-Torque ECU Remap (250bhp for £400)

What else? ;)

Rather than 'proper' I guess it's better to say 'fully kitted-out'. In some markets the bodykit isn't standard so I'd say it's a proper JCW as delivered with whatever bits come as standard.

I think you'd better take a look at the JCW brochure to see what other goodies they sell. Other interior bits, key fob, cap etc ;) :p

Great seats to look at and for agressive driving But it think even on lower of two settings they sit too high in the car. standard seats lower when wound down to lower setting

Also long distance comfort was not great for me

What do others think?

It sounds interested doesn't it? They reckon the combo of twin-scrolled turbo, strengthened cylinder head and better exhaust on the factory JCW allows them to gain between 240 - 250bhp...:hmph:

I agree with you, I think they restrict your vision and are not comfortable either.

Sounds interesting. You'd need the ECU upgrade/Milltek exhaust combo to get that power though. I wonder how much both would cost? I'm assuming the Milltek exhaust is a cat-back system. The whole thing is likely to invalidate the warranty though.

No thats just for the MCS, for the factory works - the quoted power increase is with a standard car with the stock JCW exhaust!!

You can have it undone and redone as you wish (free to undo, £25 to redo) so every time you get your car serviced get it undone... in this case it'd be better if the place was more local though! They're based in Wolverhampton I think.

If you have a cooper S you can get 230bhp with software and a Milltek system (I would think its turbo back). Just software on the S is 205bhp.

Just sofware on the factory JCW is 250bhp :aargh::D

Hi Guys

We are the only UK tuner mapping the factory JCW...and via the OBD port :D

To confirm the P-Torque software with no other mods gives approx 250bhp

Stage 1 on the non works R56 Cooper S gives approx 205 -210bhp (225bhp and 250lbs/ft with full exhaust)

Stage 2 with full Milltek exhaust has seen approx 240bhp and 265lbs/ft torque :)

Hi Rocco

Yes, the JCW has stronger cylinder head, different exhaust, different turbo and different pressure sensors :)

Fitted with straight through exhaust, more power is available!

Thanks for the clarification (which I ought to have read properly on your site!). How does the ECU remap on the factory JCW affect fuel consumption?

Hi

Fuel consumption will stay very much the same...

Normal driving will be the same, on long runs slightly better and when driving the hard it will be a little worse ;)

How restrictive is the JCW CAT? would you see gains by using a Milltek hi-flow CAT?

Ive got the all leather one on my Works with MFSW which dealer all swapped and sorted for me

feels goog in the hands

went fo all leather as i think ties in better with rest of the car as no other alcantara but if you have those seats handbrake and gear gaitor now that would be sweeeeeet

Think im a dirty bugger so would probably sneeze on the alcantara one or something and spoil it

All Carbon Fibre MFSW!! when? where? & how much? lol It'd be good to get everything on the new interior matching!

I'd seen someone offer these before but they're always difficult to get hold of :frown:
