Hi

Fuel consumption will stay very much the same...

Normal driving will be the same, on long runs slightly better and when driving the hard it will be a little worse ;)

I think ill need new rubber before i consider this further as wheels will spin spin spin with 250 horses

Everyone want more power but worried it would actually make it less enjyable to drive because of torque steer which will only get worse

but 250bhp:D

I got a PM from PT and it seems they have thought about all that ;). 250BHP will spin any rubber!!

All Carbon Fibre MFSW!! when? where? & how much? lol It'd be good to get everything on the new interior matching!

I'd seen someone offer these before but they're always difficult to get hold of :frown:

That looks :nice:, it's a shame mini dont do a more exaggerated version of this for the JCW - if it flicked up to the spoiler closer to the sides of the boot and a larger fin! And it'd look good in CF!

What he said! lol Miiikeey where are youuuu??

Also wanna ask the question to the Performance Torque guys : What kinda 0-60 times are you guys getting out of a 250BHP JCW?? I'm quite tempted by this although i know i'm gonna be spending a hell of a lot more money on tyres! lol :p

Not really an accessory, but certainly cheap:D

Simple mod, takes 10mins and costs absolutely nothing:D

Front camber mod, increaseed from std. -0.5deg to -1.0deg. Following a post on NAM i finally got around to checking this out last night. The location pegs on the strut towers are removable. Early-mid cars are steel and screw out, the later versions i belive maybe plastic, and if so simply pull out with a pair of pliers. Jack side of car up. Slacken off the 3 off strut top bolts push the strut top over ( inwards ) as far as it will go and retighten nuts. Repeat for other side.

Driving around at normal everyday speed their is very little, if any difference, maybe a tad more self centering and a bit more feel aound the straight ahead. Normal cornering again shows no real difference. But and it is a big BUT, when you start 'driving it' around slow to medium speed corners / roundabouts the increased front end grip is amazing. I wouldn't have thought that 0.5deg. would make such a marked improvement. I cannot understand why they don't come as std. from the factory like this. I always drive with Sport mode on and traction control off and i have a few power mods and it now allows serious use of the power through corners that at the moment are cold and seriously wet.

Anybody else already done this mod, and have any similar experience.

I had the JCW Sports Suspension delivered yesterday! Now, just to get it installed ;-)

Thanks Chris @ Woodmans!

Having had virtually the entire JCW set of accessories installed, here are my thoughts on which ones improve the car the most versus their cost.

1. JCW steering wheel. This can be purchased in alacantara or leather form. It is a huge improvement over the stock factory JCW steering wheel. It's the bit you hold 100% of the time when you're in the car so, for me, it's the best bang for the buck.

2. JCW Sports Suspension. Expensive, but totally transforms the car. It really does feel like a completely different car to me now. Again, it's in use 100% of the time and your MINI JCW feels like a much more expensive sports car. The mechanical grip is outstanding and sharp corners can be taken with confidence. I've had no issue with it when driving on some extremely poor roads. It could be a bit firmer though. This makes my top three because it is in use 100% of the time so delivers its value constantly.

3. JCW Sports Seats. 10/10 for looks! But they are very comfortable and the current generation of JCW sports seats have airbags and are heated (if you have the heated seats option). A couple of negatives: they sit quite high so have them installed on the low setting if you're of acerage height or tall. The seat back can be tilted forward but you'll struggle to get anyone other than a small child into the back seats after they've been fitted. They are also very expensive. Now the positives: very high quality, excellent body grip and surprisingly comfortable. They can be adjusted both for rake (seat back angle) and fore-and-aft, so a good seating position can be obtained. The extended seat base provides good support for your legs, making these seats fit around you much better than the stock sports seats. Another JCW accessory that makes a difference 100% of the time.

So, those are my top three best bang-for-the-buck JCW accessories.
