My local dealer scothall watford told me that you can order a brand new challenge car direct from oxford for about £40k!! he said you just fill the form in with your bank details and fax it to them and hey presto it turns up delivered direct from the factory

i beg your pardon?no it is directly to mini,if you want to order one he showed my on there internal computer and then you fax mini uk if you want the car,not sure if you can still get them and they are not road legal anyway.

remember though if you order an R56 Challenge car its not road legal !!!!

its a full blown race only machine :)

I believe that the R56 Challenge car is built in Oxford as a JCW and then shipped to Munich for the German team to do the fettling to Challenge car standard. That is one reason why it costs so much !!

As Phil rightly says it is not road legal - track machine olnly
