hey mini2ers

bored and waiting for MOTD2 to start, was just wandering what changes you'd make to your mini if money were no object, anything from that part you've always longed for to the near damn right ridiculous....

i'd start with painted carbon fibre body panels and roof of the 1st gen mini (prefer the shape)
over the workings of the R56 MCS maybe a twin turbo + s'charged version
and the interior of the 1st gen (prefer that too) only this time with all the options :D
some trick 4wd (think nissan GTR or Prodrive P2) to put the power down
and flat underbelly with propper rear diffuser

any other thoughts? come on its got to have crossed your mind....

I'd get a new head with associated parts, some coilovers, some black r105's, r56 recaros, BBK.

That would do for starters... :D

If I won the lottery, I wouldn't sell the Checkie - she'd be treated to:

Full Works 225 upgrade by Tony Franks
JCW suspension
Full Leather Recaro Interior
Full Aero Kit with decals by Phil the Pirate
Bonnet respray and armourguard
Sound upgrade by Mikey

I'd contact the MINI plant and kindly ask them to build me a brand-spanking new R53 JCW out of spare parts or stuff they (hopefully) have lying around :P

Or maybe even two...the other one can stay in my living room.

It would have to be a black Clubbie MCS JCW with blacked out windows and all the JCW options.

It would then have a red stripe down the side to make it look like the A-Team van

Money no object:D

I'd have a GTT 220 convertion + manifold and get a big brake convertion while I was there. A set of quad spot lamps, some good looking alloys that will fit over my big brakes, JCW seats, face lift xenons, GTT strut brace, Koni FSD dampers, nice ICE ( by Mikey of course)..........I think that's about it for now............oh and I'd buy a GP as well with lots of tyres for track days - for both:D

I'd just be happy with a MINI that didnt have electrical problems every 5 minutes.

Recaro seats like in the 1st gen MINIs would be good too though

An all Black Cooper S all JCW'd up would also appeal, as money no object I could hire someone to keep it clean and swirl free for me :p

Heated steering wheel and auto rain sensor for the rear wiper, JCW tuning kit, JCW suspension, JWC brakes and a set of black Ultraleggeras with slicks fitted for track days.

Heated steering wheel would be nice.

I'd get the existing radio ripped out and replaced with a DAB one. Keep the manual gearbox but get rid of the clutch to make changing gear easier (via some smoke and mirrors in the gearbox). And get some front end sensors, as I never know where the front of my car is and end up parking miles away from the wall/house/etc. A horsepower upgrade would be nice too. And definitely get rid of those damn run-flats. Finally, send it to the dealer's for a week so they can try (again) to get rid of the dashboard rattle.

There actually is a Öhlins suspension kit for the MINI? If that is the case I'm guessing it will make the JCW kit look like a bargain... :D
