i really want my cooper dropped - if i went for a 35 mm drop (i have bog standard suspension) would it drop 35mm? as i think the cooper s is 10mm lower(??)

also - which springs are best performance for money? would love coilovers but too much money :(

Kw are cheaper than Einbach and and you also get 35 mm drop instead of 30 mm drop

The Cooper and S have the same ride height as far I remember.

Springs are the cheapest options but don't be surprised if you need new shocks in a year or two. I would look at springs/shocks or coilovers that are matched to work together, they will ride better and last much much longer.

Adam I have Eibachs and think they are great.

I had it lowered 30mm in November and with the factory sports suspension and now (as of Tuesday) 18's on 215/35 parada tyres and its really not that bad.

I think the car feels much more stable after lowering and i get less torque steer which is always good. I really hated the drive of the car before lowering it.

Lowering is my most favourite modification - it reminds me of being young :)

At least if you buy springs they are cheaper and if you dont like the look or the ride you can always put the standard springs back on?

H&R springs lower 35mm, not sure how much they are at the moment though.
