I've recently been to my local dealer, where I bought my last two MINIs to see about trading up from a One to a Cooper. The px price was offered was very poor (due to the market I was told) and there were no discounts on offer.
i was particularly disappointed that my present One has lost the same in eighteen months that my last One lost in just over 3 years.

Oohhh no Leedz thats terrible. I thought that the risiduals are still high at the moment 65% the dealer told me, from buying a Mini to another model of car!!!

All things to hit back at when buying a new Mini, not good selling points anymore....

well i was offered 2% off without asking & managed to get 4% off in the end as i have had 3 cars off them. total saved on a £15000 car including £500 from mini was £1100. got £9000 px for my 2 year 2 month cooper with 32000 miles on the clock.

Just got a new Dooper through work (in March) and got a £500 discount with a visibility pack thrown in free. With aircon now standard as well it was cheaper than I expected.

(We ordered the car towards the end of '08.)

We asked 3 dealers for quotes and only one of them would discount - so it's worth shopping around.

I think its down to my haggling techniques tbh!

The latest update is that they cocked up in getting me the mark 2 JCW bodykit that they promised me so until they sort that out I have managed to get them to loan me a convertible right off the forecourt out of courtesy.

Sytner are the best!
